Town of Derry Police Department

Been arrested 14 times by DPD and I must say I’ve been treated very well. Cells are spacious and clean. Good amount of food but rice three times gets a lil boring. Patrol vehicles are very roomy, handcuffs were a bit tight and corroded but they get the job done for sure. Made a lot of good friends in holding who shared their tips and tricks. Definitely will be returning.

Brought my five year old son in the the station late last night he locked him self up in his hand cuffs and lost the key. The officers on duty gladly helped us out. They gave him a sticker and made his day. Great guys.

This department need to evaluate its employees as you are not a god with a badge you job is to serve and protect and advice safety. Seem most of these officers judges how they will mess up someone life or career on how they feel or how the person address themselves. You should enforce background checks and just because the officer has a camera that doesn’t not mean he/she doesn’t give looks at citizens. If your only a cop cause you have no other trade skill and feel that with a badge you can bully and harass half of the town to make your ego bigger then sorry this job is not for you. Why not trying to enforce all law not the ones that make you feel good at that moment and time or that help rank you up with he amount of false tickets given. I do how ever feel the police department should have a full evaluation so that way officers can be looked at carefully. I also think there should be a number to call to advice of a judge-mental officer other then calling the police department cause they only back there own up instead of doing the right thing. Ps: we all see the police force changing stuff in the area so that why they can give someone a ticket when they don’t deserve it. Try treating people like people and not only your friends and family and maybe people would like cops and trust them more. I have never met such a professional police department. ..the only encounter I've had with the officers is when my husband was a patient in Parkland Emergency room for a kidney stone...and i asked them many questions about my town of Derry which I'm a proud member of this community. And they were so kind outgoing and extremely polite men. I feel so safe knowing these men and women protect me and my family...May God Bless all our men in blue!....I wish them all God's speed. Rude. Rude. Rude. Oh did i say the word rude? Dispatcher night shift sounds like she could care less about her job. Real crime going on at the Fairways but no You rather pull people over for going 4 miles over the speed limit. Amazing. 1400$ apartments to get your wheels stolen, popped, have the police NOT CARE and the apartment say they don't care. Amazing.

need more police officers only hand full of police officer can do so much and if your not bring people in.bring up there pay grade they work very hard to keep us safe
