TownePlace Suites by Marriott Kansas City Overland Park

A truly lovely setting for an unexpected Hotel that is incredibly well equipped, both as a whole and in the individual rooms. This is the perfect place if you are coming for the weekend, coming for business, or coming for an extended stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the linens are top-notch. The fully equipped kitchen with full size refrigerator also sports a range and oven, full size microwave and a dishwasher, and there is a ton of storage-- and they actually have dishes and cooking items inside the room. The staff are also exceptional, Brittney the GM and Rebecca at the front desk have gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome and safe, and their professional courtesies and wonderful attitude along with the other staff members and the breakfast and housekeeping staff truly make you feel welcome as a valued guest. And the setting feels like you're on a private estate but minutes away from major thoroughfares. Highly recommend! Rooms: There is absolutely no wasted space in these rooms and this truly feels like home. Nearby activities: You can basically walk to Von Maur if shopping is your fancy and there are a plethora of clubs and bars within walking distance as well as restaurants both high-end and casual. This is close to a myriad of activities including adult and child appropriate activities. Safety: They have went above and beyond to make me feel safe here. This is a safe place if you are traveling with children or if you are traveling as a single woman. Walkability: You can do virtually anything you want to do within walking distance of this hotel. Food & drinks: Your options are vast with a wide array of walkable and drivable casual and high-end options for food and beverage.

An absolutely amazing stay for a week in an absolutely amazing location with absolutely amazing staff. The room is fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, range, full size microwave, and tons of storage. Close to a wide variety of dining and entertainment and drinking establishments, along with museums and close proximity to all the major corridors to get you around the Kansas City area. Britney and Rebecca and Stacy and Pam and Nicole and Lesley and Gwin were all absolutely spectacular, and they made my stay ever so much more relaxing and pleasurable. They took the time to always make sure all of my needs were met and the room was tidy and well kempt. The setting is like being in a private park surrounded by trees. This is definitely a very hidden hotel. From a street side standpoint you can't even see this property, and the parking lot is very private and there aren't any bright lights shining in your room and there is a golf course surrounding it. I felt safe and well cared for my entire visit.

Would select 0 stars if possible!! We stayed the weekend of 1/13-1/15, and they charged our card 3 times!! This was a vacation so we needed the money!! They told us “it wasn’t pulled of the card just pending” well if it’s pending it was money we couldn’t spend!! The money still hasn’t been put back as of 1/18!! The banks can’t do anything and the manager of the hotel was awful in helping!! Even the owner was awful, and Marriott can’t do anything since this is a franchisee!! Blamed it on us and refused to compensate, and didn’t even give us all of the points!! As gold members this so disappointing. Please save your money and book the nearby hotels, so much better!!

I had reserved rooms for my driver and myself about 2 months prior. I was scheduled for corneal replacement surgery and had a post op appointment early the foĺlowing day. We stayed over as opposed to dring a 240 mile round trip. They gave me a medical discount. The desk personel were very warm and friendly. We found our rooms neat, clean, and comfortable. I want to give a shout out to the sweet little ladt who kept the breakfast piled high with wonderful, homemade food. The breakfast burritos abs the sausage biscuits were my favorites. This is an older motel that has been greatly remodeled to bring it up to date. I loved the beauty of this old building. THERE WAS ONE SUGGESTION I HAVE FOR THIS MOTEL. BECAUSE THERE IS NO EASILY VISIBLE SIGN FROM THE STREET. TRUE IT IS ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING BUT HARD TO SEE, ESPECIALLY AFTER DARK. I WOULD SUGGEST A LIT UP SIGN NEXT TO THE STREET. PERHAPS MUNICIPAL REGULATIONS DO NOT ALLOW THIS, BUT I BELIECE IT WOULD MAKE IT A LOT EASIER TO FIND. SHOULD I HAVE NEED OF ACOMMODATIONS IN THE FUTURE THIS WILL BE MY FIRST CHOICE. THEVDESK PERSONNEL WERE VERY PLEASANT UNLIKE THE OLD SOURPUSSES FOUND IN SOME MOTELS.

Our Favorite Place to Stay in Kansas! & it is really close to the Peanut! 127th! This is a must to visit whether you are hungry or need a cocktail with great people!Rooms: 5/5
