A little about the Townsite Cafe
The Townsite Cafe is a locally owned restaurant in downtown Topeka. We offer breakfast, lunch, and catering in a quick and casual environment. We are proud to offer locally sourced foods whenever possible, as well as from-scratch american cuisine and fresh baked breads, rolls, and pastries every day. Soups and specials change on a regular basis, there is always something new to be had at the Townsite Cafe!
Opened in March 2012, the Townsite Cafe has been steadily growing thanks to our loyal customers. Owner Doug Petrie, also the owner of the Millennium Cafe in the Topeka Shawnee County Library, hopes to build the Townsite Cafe into another successful business that will benefit all who work and do business in downtown Topeka. Peach Tree Catering, also owned by Doug, provides catering services through both the Millennium Cafe and the Townsite Cafe.
General manager and chef Stephen Longofono joined the Townsite Cafe in October 2012. Stephen graduated from the French Culinary Institute in 2004, and has since been honing his culinary skills and knowledge in Topeka, most recently as the Chef at Bosco's Downtown New Urban Cuisine. Having spent much of his life living and traveling in Europe, Stephen can provide a unique and worldly touch to any catered event.
