I would highly recommend! This is a hidden gem in the heart of Los Angeles South Central. For cultural RICH tasting food, do not hesitate! It’s worth the drive, worth the wait definitely worth a taste! BELIZE Breakfast 9-11am daily. Call for more info.
The food was delicious. Spices were on point. All my food was made fresh so the panades were hot and crispy. Perfection There was a little bit of a wait, but the guy who served me was kind enough to bring my food to me curbside. 10/10 service.Food: 5/5
Pretty good food, however the beef dish felt a tad overpriced.Food: 4/5
I grew up around where this eatery is located. The servings are enormous. The facility consistently provides outstanding customer service and professionalism. A hot chocolate dream crush exists. That would be like measuring great wine in time.
Delicious Belizean food! Great Service! It was my 1st time eating Belizean, thanks to my friend Kisha We ate Beef Meatballs & Beef combo platesFood: 4/5
The Little and I tried to finish the plate of rice and beans and potato salad and stew chicken all in one day, but that didn't work. The serving was so large that we were immediately sated and got the itis and crashed. It was fall off the bone meat that was very tender. Muy delicioso
BELIZE Eat the World Los Angeles review: There is a certain amount of envy that must be cast towards the folks that have figured out the daily rhythms of Tracey's Belizean Restaurant on Western Avenue. For the rest of us to wander in, it is more of a crapshoot. Certain things are available on certain days, sometimes Sundays, sometimes Wednesday through Friday. Is there any way to verify all of this? If you did would it take away the charm? What is clear is that no matter what day of the week you find yourself inside, a delightful meal and a full belly are certainly in your future. You are best off approaching the back counter to first to get your order in before sitting down. Behind this area a sign with seahorses and elephants reads "Welcome to Tracey's" while underneath the counter are plastic wrapped round loaves of Caribbean breads and tarts. Despite being unapologetically Belizean, Tracey's has a pan-Caribbean feel and a crowd to match. Dishes like the stew oxtail $14 satisfy the needs of expats from Belize and just about any island nation in the area. These fatty pieces of tail would be described as luxurious by a serious food writer, but on this day were picked up and gnawed on until clean.
I grew up in the same area this restaurant resides. The portions are huge. The place is clean and consistent with exceptional customer service and professionalism. There is a hot chocolate dream crush. That is like fine wine measured in time. I hope before I leave town his pleasure is mine. Holla at your girl
She's The Best, Was able to have her cook for my wedding..Family loved it... I dine with my mother-in-law at least twice a month for lunch or dinner... Great Service Food: 5/5
Came here for the rice and beans, They had no coconut flavor in them. They taste mostly like Casamiento , Which is a dish from El Salvador which is made out of Rice and beans but without coconut. And it tastes completely different. I don’t think they added coconut milk and/or Bay leaves & thyme. The plate came with the rice and beans, the stew chicken, and a potato salad which was infested in mayonnaise. They Just added two little slices of plantains, which I think is not enough for the $15 plate that I paid for. The chicken was good it had a really good flavor
