Welcoming, to all .Friendly to newcomers no matter what level of religious background. Young couples with children as well as elderly.The Rabbi is sociable and makes time with every congregant.Following the service,there is a luncheon and getting to know one another.I recommend this shul for all who want to connect to their Jewish roots.
I've only ever experienced reformed services until I was invited to this orthodox synagogue. I must say there's a sense of community here that's beyond any other I've ever experienced. Everyone is warm and kind. The service is 99% in Hebrew as it should be they call out page numbers regularly so you can follow along. The Rabbi places true religious appreciation and depth over all else. It's truly a beautiful experience. I hope everyone in Mt.Dora and the surrounding area visits at least once.
The Traditional Congregation of Mount Dora offers the most authentic, uplifting, inspiring and family oriented Jewish services and programs educational and social I have experienced in Central Florida. The Rabbi's discussions of each week's Torah portion are truly brilliant.
I am a JEW in Training a recent convert that moved to Florida in 2016. The congregation and Rabbi: Hayyim Solomon were very inviting and made my transition from my previous Shul in New York much easier than I anticipated. Everyone is indeed part of the family and welcome to participate. p.s. The Rabbi is very easy to talk with. Come join us.
Traditional Sephardic Service. The congregation were very warm and inviting. The Rabbi is very accessible and knowledgeable. Shabbat services and the following kiddish were uplifting. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly Jewish experience in central Florida!

The community was very warm, but not recommend it for kids at all.
