I really can't praise the staff at this campground enough. After a very long week of clearing my house out and loading up a big trailer with a car, and SUV full of my stuff my trailer broke a leaf spring on the 5. Trail in had space for me, booked me in the evening and was very flexible on if I needed only one night or a week or two based on parts availability and if I would need to leave it there. I was able to get the parts the next day and get it fixed and make it back to Montana. The staff was incredibly friendly, the site safe, quiet, well stocked. The restroom and shower were amazing, especially the shower. While not aesthetically beautiful, it was incredibly functional, extremely hot or cold water on demand with high water pressure, which was such a blessing after being covered in dirt and blood replacing the suspension on a trailer in 100 degree weather. Thank you!
Honestly the nicest, cutest, peacefulist place I have been to in a long time. The regulars that live there, are so sweet and very helpful. The new manager rashell is amazingly sweet. She's very helpful and informative. She's new to the area but seems to have hit the ground running and turned that cute store into something worth checking out. Great prices, friendly faces, get treated like family and enjoy the amazing people I got to meet and Can not wait to go back to.
An adorable small camp ground/RV Spot in the Shasta Lake area, very easy access to I5. This review is not too specifically go over my experience as a camper there, more to the amazing camp host leanne. My wife and I have a concession business, had a vehicle breakdown as we were moving trucks and trailers between California and Oregon and as an emergency needed to park a truck and concessions trailer there at the campground while we return to Oregon to get a tow vehicle. Leanne very generously allowed me to park both truck and trailer there for a few days until I could return. She made certain they were safe, secure and looked after. Leanne is absolutely a very kind person and I'm certain that if one were to stay there camping you would experience that in abundance. To that end, my wife and I have decided now that we're aware of her cute little campground, we absolutely will be returning there to support her business the way that she supported ours in an act of kindness. Thank you very much Leanne!
$2.00 ice cream! $1.00 drinks! WOW!
Spent 1 night here while traveling through the area. Found the owner quite personable and helpful when pointing out the many things to do in the area. He's just taken the site over recently so there were just the 10 or so pull through sites out front. Once he gets the other campsites set up, and upgrades the bathrooms and pool, it will be a better place to stay.
Small place but it was super chill. Good pull through site. 50 and 30 amp available. If you have passport America, it is only honored for One night, then full price. It was very close to lake Shasta. Just up the road you’ll see my Shasta. Make sure to stop at the view point.
I love that it's right off the highway and has all the amenities, showers, even has a pool. Everything is well taken care of and the Managers are very nice. Cant wait to camp again next spring
I really wanted to like this place. The girl I talked to on the phone and in the office was very friendly and professional. But I can't get past the lack of anything resembling decent business practices. The park is mostly inhabited by old trailers that don't look like they could move if they wanted to. Residents seemed friendly enough. The front porch of the office is cluttered with garbage and boxes and lawn mowers. The swimming pool looks like it hasn't been used in years; green and algae covered. The frogs like it though. Restrooms have signs on the doors saying you need to come to the office for a key. It was after closing so I couldn't check them out. Our spot was okay and hookups worked fine. I would reluctantly tell you to pass this one by.
Lovely place. Propane!!!
It’s fine for a quick overnight stay. $20 for a no service tent site. We slept in the van and didn’t need hookupswhich are available. The mens bathroom needs a serious cleaning. Half the spaces are long term renters. Ten spaces or so are pull through with hookups mostly flat. It’s a good in between stop for us heading south. Some traffic noise but not too bad.
