Western Art & Custom Cowboy Gear Exhibit & Sale at the Museum of the Big Bend
Trappings of Texas is the longest running western art and cowboy gear exhibit and sale in the country. Established in 1985, at the Museum of the Big Bend on the campus of Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas, Trappings showcases fine western art from paintings, sculpture and drawings to saddles, bits, spurs and more. The Trappings exhibit and sale kicks off a 3 day weekend of activities and is held in conjunction with the Texas Cowboy Poetry Gathering the last weekend in February.
