This hotel is definitely the worst place I’ve ever stayed in…this is a dump and should not be open to the public. There’s dirt, smoke, mold and garbage all over. The “continental breakfast” is a total joke. Didn’t feel safe during the whole stay. Pictures from the website don’t match the real situation of this place. Will never stay in a Wyndham again. For your safety and health, stay away from this place. You’ve been warned! Rooms: Rooms are dirty and outdated. Safety: I didn’t feel safe in this place. The whole place gave me murder vibes. Noteworthy details: The whole place looks abandoned. Stay at your own risk.
$300 for a Saturday night I would have rather slept in my truck in the parking lot. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. My parents own a Wyndham time share. We stay at the skyline tower in Atlantic City multiple times a year. Always a great experience. I saw the Wyndham brand and felt comfortable booking here. Giant mistake. The experience we had was not nearly up to the standard we expected of the Wyndham name. I understand things happen, stuff breaks and it even takes time to fix and replace things. The fountain in the lobby was broken. Ok, no problem. It was drained, never cleaned and you can tell that it has been there far too long in that condition. When I got off the elevator there weee bags of garbage that had clearly been there a while. Along with holes in the walls. When I got to the room to use the bathroom I was greeted by dead bugs on the floor that looked to me like cockroaches and hair in the shower. There was heavy black mold and milder in the grout and around the shower. On the headboard behind the lamp seemed to be some kind of greasy substance. There had been some sort of food scraps on the floor in between the bed and nightstand. There was no fitted sheet on the bed. There were 4 roughly 14” square pillows that looked like belonged on a couch as throw pillows. Very unhappy. Doubt I will ever use the travel lodge brand again. And I can’t believe Wyndham would allow this. I wish I had read the google reviews before booking and not just trusting the Wyndham name.
I stayed at this hotel over the weekend with family. A horrible experience. In 90 degrees no Air-condition working in tge room. Reception provided me a box fan to spend the nights just imagine the service. No juice for kids only water provided from the machine. Very low quality breakfast table. Regret being at this hotel. Would not recommend for a vacation, especially for families with kids. Noteworthy details: Low standard hotel could not meet the basic needs of the guests such as maintaining an Air-condition room
It was like a 5-10 minute drive from the beach. We really only came so we can clean up after the beach. We barely spent time in the room. The room was clean. We didn't interact much with staff, but they were polite during check-in and out. If you are going during the week, there is no continental breakfast. They said they reserved it for the weekend. One critique. We reserved ahead of time the day before the 4th of July. It was $95 by the time we checked in. Anyone checking in was slapped with a $240 charge. Now, if you charge a weekend price on a Monday and Tuesday, then you should offer continental breakfast and other weekend privileges. I thought that was unfair for those guests Nearby activities: Close to Atlantic city Beach. 5-10 minutes drive
Updated - I'll wait until I leave next time: saw a roach. On the bed board. Not cool... moved to another hotel asap. Place is a little worn but it isn't as bad as all the reviews I've read. Staff is friendly and let me check in few hours early. I've been staying in a bunch of hotels on the jersey shore mostly low star scored ones cause I'm solo traveling to kitesurf and so long as there are no bugs idc... the hotels around Abescon outside AC are better than the same name hotels on the boardwalk - which can get super shady at night and the crowd at the boardwalk hotels.... nough said. Here you get better and you're not in downtown Alantic city... but <20 minute drive to a lot.... It gets a +2 because they stepped it up enough and when you compare the rates to Tom's River area it's 50% vs 30 miles north. I stayed in hotels see prior reviews that deserved 1 or 2 stars and charged +$100.
The room was okay, it's a "you get what you pay for" experience. It appears clean but the peeling paint, holes in the wall, and broken curtain hooks give it a dingy look and feel. We chose a smoking room, so no surprise the room smelled like an ash tray, my first thought was a spray of deodorizer or some incense in between guest, wouldn't hurt. Otherwise, room and service was good. Nearby activities: The boardwalk is a 13-15 min drive away.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. I honestly don’t see how they are still operating!!! I was given 2 dirty rooms back to back when I arrived, and the third room wasn’t any better! The shower drain was clogged with the water rising up to my shin! We had to wait 30 mins until the next person Could even shower! Very inconvenient! Please do not stay here, don’t waste your time or hard earned money! You’d think they would offer some sort of discount or a free stay for the inconvenience, but nope! And to top it off there wasn’t even breakfast as advertised! Never Again!
This place was NOTHING like the pictures. The first room we were given was raining from the bathroom ceiling.. they had no issues moving us which was a plus... they moved us to a water view .. which we asked for at check-in and were told there was none how CRAZY one popped up after the new room was way nicer but it did not stay cool at all.. Everywhere said breakfast started at 7 with 24 hour coffee.. LIES breakfast started at 8 they had no juice in the juice machine only water thing to drink was that and coffee! Signs stated they will change $100 if you're caught bringing food to your room! Like what no other hotel has ever posted signs like that.. we travel often enough and sadly after this stay, we will no longer trust a Wyndham.. cooperate definitely needs to step in and take a look around because hotels like this give their nice ones a bad name!
Im reading some of the reviews i see friendly staff. I mean are you talking about the same hotel. I didnt see any staff i dont think any exist. Anyways allow me to be short. This hotel could be a good hotel if someone invest in it because its a good location, however they decide to keep it like a piece of garbage no one should be reserving. My room had a window that was so damage you couldn't see out of it upon visiting front desk i was told that's the room i reserved. Think about it why would i reserve a room with a useless window. Anyways if you can afford to be elsewhere stay away I barely stayed in the room for $180.00 it was the best i can find outside of AC. I stayed in the other ones down white horse pike they're even worst. I wish i had money i could make that hotel look real good GOOD LUCK.
