Nobody was staffed at the front desk when I arrived. I had to walk around the lobby and restaurant for some time before finding the person who could check me in. They seemed annoyed that I'd tracked them down and had to schlep all the way back to the front desk to do their job. So not a great first impression. The room was fine except for the shower which had dirt all over the base. There was no maid service to speak of. The hotels itself is huge, but it was barely occupied and yet I ended up in a room with one of those shared doors and a person on the other side who made quite a bit of noise, bodily and otherwise. I'm not sure why I would have been assigned a room right beside someone when there seemed to be, literally, a hundred other unoccupied rooms. I had my 4-year-old with me and, of course, they wanted to go swimming, but the swimming pool was appalling. It was dimly lit and the paint was peeling in sheaths from the rafters and beams which made the whole thing seem dirty and unkempt and possibly damaging to one's lungs. Who knows whether anyone was keeping an eye on the chlorine levels. Leaves had been blown into the hallway near just inside the door from the outside near my room. This was not addressed during the entirety of my three night stay so every night was like returning to an abandoned inn. Lastly, there were very few lights on in the parking lot, which made the exterior hard to navigate in the dark and lent the place an aura of menace and disuse. Wyndham / Ramada: please clean up your act with this one. The rooms were fine, but management is NOT getting it done.
Rooms were better than expected. Nicely renovated. This may be the only pet friendly hotel in the area so be prepared to see a lot of dogs if staying on a weekend.Rooms: 5/5
Room has a big crack in the sink, no toilet paper, no tissues, no remote for the TV. Dirty. And stained carpets, no security, outside doors were unlocked so anyone had access to the rooms. Poor girl that worked there had to steal out of other rooms in order to get us the TP but no tissues and a remote. They did adjust the bill but not enough to make me stay there again. So this is the second time in a month that a Wyndham property was dirty, substandard and below any condition for people to pay for.
No hot water during our stay. Was charged more than the quoted price. Outside appearance was not appealing.Rooms: 3/5
This is just ridiculous this place is literally a SCAM No hot water during our stay with my family and we have kids which made it worse we traveled a long way and couldn’t shower or us water . We left and they don’t want to give a refund which is ridiculous because we couldn’t stay here .Rooms: 1/5
We made a registration for two adults with two teenagers. Upon arrival we found two cars, & only two cars in the parking lot. The sign with the hotel name on it was not lit bulbs were out or it was just off which had made it hard to find the place. The staff mentioned the building was “under renovation”. Little did we know the extent of the renovations. I cannot imagine why they are trying to remain open after our experiences. I will say the women at the front desk had heart and compassion, however their hands were tied. We were sent to a room a fair distance from the lobby, which seemed odd with the obvious lack of guests. There were two sorry excuses for bath towels in the bathroom extremely small, very thin and crunchy/very rough. No hand towels. No wash clothes. As I mentioned, we advised them when we made the reservation that we were coming with four of us. The beds were not made. We had to finish that job. There were no blankets to be had and there was one pillow per person. The only chair in the room was a stained office chair at a table/desk. It was not a welcoming room and obviously not furnished to accommodate anyone sitting down to relax, read a book or watch television. After all, sitting against the headboard with one scrawny pillow behind you is not comfortable. There was room for a couple of chairs or a small sofa. I went to the front desk to request towels, pillows some of us use more than one to sleep and a working remote control. I was told, after waiting over ten minutes outside the laundry room that had hand written warnings that I “would be removed from the premises” if I entered that particular door and that I was being watched on camera, that the staff could only find two other pillows and two additional bath towels one of which was stained, as they pointed out and two hand towels. There were no towels for us to use to swim in the pool. We were all disappointed that we could not use the swimming pool...the towels that we were given would have to be saved for showers after all. And they were insufficient in size and absorbency for showering too. Breakfast Saturday morning was far from what we expected. There was one cereal choice Fruit Loops, the bananas were green, the oranges had several flat sides on them and were all dried out and the waffle maker that the staff had mentioned the night before was nowhere to be found. The muffins were small, prepackaged and offered no nutritional value. They definitely scrimped and were not keeping quality in mind when they planned their breakfast options. It was apparent that renovations were needed. The carpeting had pulls in it and things, except the lobby, looked pretty bedraggled. We stayed away Saturday night instead of swimming as planned no towels unless we went somewhere and bought some. When we entered the lobby at around 10 pm, there were a dozen or more buckets catching the rain that was dripping through the lobby ceiling. Sunday morning we went down to grab breakfast to be told that the “one guy that has a key to get to the breakfast stuff didn’t show”. They had been trying to call him, however he had not been answering his phone and nobody else had a key. As we were getting ready to leave, I used the bathroom outside the pool area. One of the two stalls had an “Out of Order” sign on it. The other had about ten sheets of toilet paper left on one roll and no back up. We made the best of this weekend, however it was not what it should have been. I would not suggest anyone stay at this particular establishment. Maybe when the renovations are done it will shine, but right now it is a place to avoid. After spending over half an hour on the phone with “corporate” since the front desk would not pick up the phone...they hadn’t the two previous days when I called to confirm our registration either, I was given a “Case ID” and was told that someone would get back to me. That has not happened.
Attached restaurant was great, staff was helpful and the room was in nice condition.Rooms: 5/5
THE WORST, RUN THE OTHER WAY This hotel is disgusting it smells like smoke all throughout the hallways. TVs don't work. There are a leaks. People did not have blankets in their rooms. Some did not have towels in their rooms. Their shuttle was not working. So if you booked this airport and needed a shuttle to the airport forget it. It is disgustingly dirty. And so outdated. Supposedly they are doing a 1-year renovation. Perhaps they should close the place down and not rent rooms until it's done. I did not feel safe here. The only thing good here is the girl at the front desk name Kristy she was wonderful patient kind thoughtful and helpful.
Honestly, I was a little concerned after I booked when I read some of the reviews. I can say that in my opinion, this hotel is absolutely worth of value. Sure, there are a few cosmetic flaws, and it definitely looks like they are renovating. More importantly, the customer service was Top Notch. Everyone who I interacted with was polite and helpful. We were able to check in a little early, and my kids were allowed to swim a little early the day we left. I didn't see any issues with regards to bugs or safety. The free breakfast was better than other places I've stayed and I never went without free coffee. Worth every penny.
It wasn't the worst stay we've had, but I did have a few complaints. The place was pretty shabby, and several areas appeared to be under construction, but we never saw any progress during our stay. Our room was clean, but had only two functioning outlets and one working lamp. The staff at the front counter did not greet us at any of the times we entered or exited the front lobby. I'm big on customer service, so that was a serious negative for me. They also advertised a continental breakfast, but it was a poor delivery. They had bagels and bread with a bunch of spreads, but didn't offer any knives to cut and spread on them. The waffles looked good, but the batter wasn't prepared properly and they ended up being sour waffles. There was pool area, but after overhearing some of the other customers complaints we decided not chance it.
