This has been the worst experience in health care I have ever experienced!!! 1 It is the single most difficult thing in the world to check in for an appointment. Every time we have tried to check in we have been greeted with a terrible attitude and treated as though we are an unwelcome patient. 2 I was sent a confirmation for a morning appointment and after dealing with attitude I find that it is for evening. After showing the rude receptionist the text with a 7:45 am time I am told that the person I am there to see works a day job and only works evenings. I didn't realize it was my job to verify the availability of the professionals I am seeking for help. 3 After finally finding that I do have an appointment and being shown an error there was not even an apology for their behavior. Solutions: find some people who have people skills. Train them to be helpful and polite. If you are a business with an automated system then input information correctly. Thank you for not providing any helpful service and wasting my and everyone else's time.
We’re on hour 8 and counting for a patient who is having trouble breathing and having chest pain. We haven’t even been back to a room yet even though labs were drawn showing abnormal results. Do better!
I was admitted to the hospital after surgery. While I was there, I had many negative experiences. I won't mention them all but when I pushed the call button a few times bc the machine was beeping for twenty minutes or more. The nurse assistant Elizabeth finally comes in the room and says it doesn't matter how many times you push that button. It's not going to make me come in here any faster. The nurse assistant Elizabeth and I were on the 6th floor. She was very unpleasant, unprofessional, and rude more than once. I had the pleasure of her coming back the next day. As she wheels me outside in 90 degree weather on an August afternoon to wait for my ride after having major surgery. Elizabeth explains to me that she is not a people person. All I could think was you are not in the right career. I had to pick up all the belongings and carry them back inside the front door bc the heat was making me feel sick. I just had major surgery and she left me alone outside to wait for my ride on an August afternoon. Also Elizabeth had extremely bad breath and body odor. She wasn't the only person on their staff that had body odor issues. This is supposed to be a place where people are able to heal. They need to burn this hospital down, get rid of most of the employees and start over. Do better Trinity Rock Island DO BETTER!!!
Went into ER on Saturday night with severe pains in my stomach. Turned out to be appendicitis and needing surgery to remove appendix. I told them about some previous health issues so they wanted to observe overnight and do surgery sunday morning. I want to thank all the care providers for great service and going over everything with me before surgery and after. They made sure I was comfortable during my stay. My only 2 complaints are that at one point during my stay was there Saturday night until Monday afternoon was that I was told I would be able to leave at one time by one doctor then another doctor xame in and wouldn't let me leave until later in afternoon. Which almost caused issues having a ride home. Overall I'm happy I chose unity point er as they treated me with better care than I expected. Keep saving lives!
My mom came in by ambulance after falling on glass mason jars and having the bottom of a mason jar still in her leg. When we finally got back to a room in the ER , we waited 2 hours till A PA-c came by and did a LAC and sewed it up. By the time she got home all the stitches were ripped open because they didn’t put enough stitches. So BACK TO THE ER WE GO IN THE MORNING HOPEFULLY your day shift staff is more competent then what we delt with today , and will put enough stitches in tomorrow . I think I would of rather just did the stitches myself . I WILL NEVER AGAIN AFTER THIS VIST LET YOUR ER STAFF TOUCH ME OR MY FAMILY MEMBERS. y’all are not trustworthy .
Sat here in the er for 5 hours and wasn't seen by a physician. Walked out and there still people here ahead of me. Returned today early, no one else in waiting area when I arrived..over an hour now and nothing. I came here because it used to be very responsive and great care. Not sure what happened
This hospital needs to be checked out be state. Horrible. People waiting 7-8 hours in the emergency room. Coughing and vomiting, so sick most are laying cross ways on the chairs across the arms. Employees do Not work together, they have no idea what's what. Sent for MRI. Took 7 hours and two phone calls from my doctor to get it done. Rude employees. Sad!!!
Went to the ER was there five and a half hours wasn't seen got a phone call two days later wanted to talk to me about billing information what a joke. Would not and will not take my dog there or be back again myself!!!! Rather die at home in peace!
Quite possibly the worst ER crew I've ever seen. The nurse was ok, he was more annoying than anything. But the young female doctor was awful. Acted like we were wasting her time and was very judgy. Well, take a look in the mirror girlfriend! A young overweight doctor doesn't say much about your health knowledge now does it! Stick with Moline Trinity, they are awesome, RI is truly awful.
Very few nurses are professional here. I have seen the doctor twice, less than 10 minutes each time, in over 30 hours. No "hourly rounding" done. When they do come by they only ask about my pain. I've had a catheter in for a day and a half to be prepared for a procedure that they now say won't be done and not once was I asked if I needed to defecate or offered any help maneuvering around the hoses and wires. I haven't showered since I've been here and I'm still waiting for shower supplies and a clean gown. One nurse saw through my wide open door that I was struggling to reach my catheter bag to put it on the other side of the bed so I wouldn't pull it loose in my sleep. She told me I can't touch it because it needs to be a certain way. I told her if people did their jobs here I wouldn't have to do it myself. I even told one I'm ready to go home and just die instead of waiting for nothing to be done and no information to be had.
