The Student Support Services program is a federally-funded TRIO Program under the U.S. Department of Education established to aid students in graduating from college. Students participating in the program must meet certain requirements set forth by the Department of Education.
The TRiO Student Support Services Project at Berkshire Community College, a component of the Division of Student Affairs, contributes to the academic achievement of students who have low income, are first generation college students, and or/are disabled by providing outreach and support in the following areas:
1. Encouragement to complete programs of post secondary education;
2. Accesses to student financial assistance; admissions and related support services.
Through the efforts of the TRiO Program, participants will have an increased opportunity to realize their goals of completing a certificate program, achieving an associate’s degree or transferring to a four-year institution.
