Thank you for letting me know there were no fatal injuries, in the one car accident that I witnessed and called 911 to report on the highway.
Adding one star for the very professional treatment I received by Trooper R C Williams badge #4057. Unfortunately, that’s the end of the kind words I can say, but I always like to lead with the positive. I was entrapped by this trooper while driving south on Lake Wheeler road in Fuquay Varina, between Pleasant Hill United Church and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He gave me a citation for dangerous and unlawful speeding. The citation explains that the area was “open country” and the traffic was “light.” After issuing me the citation, the officer did not follow me or my driving behavior any further. Even though he stated during the encounter “I just want to make sure you arrive home safely” he never followed up with me in any way to see if this happened. This organization’s agent claimed I was being dangerous. The solution did not involve inspecting or modifying my behavior in any way, merely making a claim to my time court date Jan 2020 and money about $300. They believe that in order to make me safer I must be in possession of a little too much money. How does me carrying $300 make things more dangerous? How does removing that $300 for me make things any more safe? If my driving was the issue, and my arriving home safely was truly his concern, why didn’t he attempt to fix that problem? If my returning safely home was his goal, why didn’t he help me achieve that goal? This makes it seem that they care less about adjusting dangerous behavior and more about reaching into wallets for their own benefit. The whole relationship between me and this organization is founded on immoral principles condemned by every ethical worldview: “Do as I say or else I take your stuff. Resist me and I can cage you. Resist the cage and I can kill you.” Etc. Civilized people don’t treat each other this way. This is how bullies act. I’ll be resisting this ticket via every PEACEFUL and LEGAL means I can. Request continuances, trial by jury, etc and etc. Feel free to email me if you want to hear the outcome of these efforts.
