Don’t eat here. I’m sorry but eating here was a sad mistake. I don’t recommend eating here at all. It’s filthy and gross and not friendly to anyone with tastebuds, or anyone with a handicap. The flooring is jagged and broken tiles. The staff was short and dismissive because they closed early at 7 PM on a Saturday night. We got there at 6:15 PM and we were rushed to skedaddle because they wanted to prep for Sunday service. Terrible business management. The food and drinks we ordered were all kinds of wrong. Around $20 per person and not worth a single penny. Everything tasted like fried fish. CALL GORDON RAMSEY for Kitchen Nightmares.
I haven't been disappointed with anything I have tried from the menu! Breakfast is 100% fantastic, the steak is always cooked perfectly, the salad is always fresh and the croutons made in house. The meatloaf could use a little seasoning though... The staff is fantastic, they are always happy to see us and we love seeing the same faces week after week! It's our favorite place for a casual meal!! Things to try~ Build your own Omelette, it's worth it! Waffles, pancakes, and the french toast...so good! Beef & Barley, and creamy chicken & Wild rice soups should be a regular thing on the winter menu! Alfredo, and the garlic toast!!! Steak dinner with baked or mashed potato Biscuits and gravy Strawberry Chicken Walnut Salad with Champagne vinaigrette They will customize just about everything for you! Fridays they don't serve breakfast after around 3ish, don't complain about it, just be sure to go during breakfast service any other day! Also, this place has been a part of the community forever, and it's a diner...don't expect sparkling modern decor, or fast food that's sitting under a warmer waiting for you to order it. Everything is fresh, made for you. Spend a few minutes and enjoy it. And don't forget to have some old fashioned ice cream parlor dessert!
This restaurant has come down a notch. The outdoor awning is all tore up, which I would hope means they are rebuilding that portion. Then the inside is supposed to be this quaint vintage look, but it all looked a little worn down... especially the carpet. The center of the room is raised up with 8 or 10 booths and every person that came in they sat only there except for an old lady with a cane we heard say to get them another seat because she wouldn't be able to walk up the three stairs. They grouped everybody together versus alternating booths. We had a toddler with us, so that was just kind of odd they would immediately put somebody next to and behind us. My husband had a decent sandwich, but some of my food wasn't the best, so I didn't eat it. The menu is definitely catered to the senior crowd. Next time we need to eat in the area we will probably be going somewhere else. Side note: They have these huge back rooms which I've never seen people in. It is a missed opportunity to get in larger groups or even networking meetings who need a bigger space to meet. There is an upstairs too but all the years I've gone here that is a mystery.
Charming old eat house!^^ It was drizzling when I arrived, quite hard to see its signage actually You see, this joint's facade faces the parking area with the back to the street, and its location is precisely on a curb with the busiest intersection. I drove twice to find this eatary with googlemap, the first time I practically went past it *lol But hey, those ordeal simply forgotten because of our smiling server, serene surrounding, warm clampchowder, superb beefsteak and sweet vanillaicecream. Thank you, Keenan Trotter, you really made my night Parking: It shares parking area with several others establishment, but it is adequate^^
I'm not sure how long Trotter's restaurant has been around, but I've always seen ads for it but have never been until last weekend. My boyfriend was looking at their menu online and had to try the Chicken Awful - made atop a BACON waffle! I had the Cafe Benedict- 1 of 5 Benedicts they offer and both dishes were AMAZING! Coffee and service were pretty good too ; We'll definitely be back - bfast served all day!!
Myself and husband have been ordering to go orders for a few months here now and I have got to say every time it is prepared and packaged properly the customer service is great! I am unsure of the gals name that helps me out short hair gal but shout out to her she handles herself well in busy times still giving great customer service. We ordered this evening Friday night two parties on top of tables filled she still handled herself in professional manner. You wouldn’t think small little restaurant here in Auburn would be so great but really you should try it out if you haven’t already! Hands down myself and husband new go to place to eat out.
Definitely 5 stars for me ! The best eggs Benedict breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The service was quick and very good. The food was hot and was delicious! My girlfriend had a ham and cheese omelette and it was really good to !Recommended dishesEggs Benedict
Came here pretty early for breakfast was craving some biscuits and gravy you could tell the gravy was homemade everything hit the spot. Service was great I would definitely recommend anyone to come here for breakfast.Food: 5/5
Food was great, prices fair, but service was lacking. Our waitress answered questions with a quick yeah and seemed almost annoyed when my daughter let her know one of the bathroom stalls was out of toilet paper. We felt like we were a bug inconvenience to her. We asked for an extra plate so my parents could share their meal, it never came, asked another waitress who said she go grab one, it never came. My boyfriend had to go up to the counter and get the extra plate and also had to let them know we needed a refill at the table. We like to support local businesses but this kind of service makes us not want to go back.
Exploring Auburn area as possible area to live, we got hungry and decided on trotters. Our server was very friendly and helpful. I had the taco salad which was real good, my husband enjoyed his hamburger. When you come in on the right is a board with all their ice cream dishes, very big assortment. UPDATE JULY 27TH we both had a sandwich because of the heat. Our server, Joy, was very friendly and helpful
