As usual it’s crowded before every ferry departure. It has different gifts shops in addition to many eating varieties. Washrooms are available . Fresh fruit market is there and you can follow departure times of ferries through different screens there.
The market is fun to look through while you’re waiting for the ferry, they have a number of different vendors in the food court end plus they have clothes, hats, knickknacks, jewelry and other things. I always enjoy seeing the original wood carvings, they’re beautiful. Outside the market they have fresh fruit for sale and a seating area for you to sit and relax before you embark on the ferry.
This is a good place to spend some time while waiting for ferry. There are coffee shops, snack shops and you can even have a meal if you are hungry. And there are gift shops with interesting articles for sale. Prices are not unreasonable.
I wanted something warm so asked if there is tea ? She showed me a list of tea where I picked chai And I said I will have 2 Chai She asked Do you want Chai Tea ? So basically Chai is Hindi word for tea Either call it Chai or call it Tea So I said yeah And it was just English tea bag dumped in warm water from the thermos Wasn’t even hot
I think it’s a great place to spend time while waiting for the ferry. It’s a lot better than waiting in the car. The prices are a bit high but it comes with the territory. What made me give it a 5 star was they had this awesome friendly blonde lady walking around with coupons, asking if we needed anything, offering suggestions, as we approached the quay. Then after i ordered and finished my meal, she suddenly appeared and asked if she can take my garbage and asked how our visit to the quay went. I didn’t get her name but she has such good customer service skills and is a asset to this business!!!! Thanks !
There is a store just by the entrance named “WORD”. The lady who works, was so rude. This lady’s behaviour was so unwelcoming when i greeted ‘hello’ to her. I had my mask on. When asked her something to buy from her store she responded in a rude way maybe I’m brown , that’s why After me and my family was sitting in dining area in front of her store and we were eating. Then she came and said very rudely that you guys are not wearing masks so you can get out from here. So, I don’t understand that why there is dining area and restaurants in there if we can’t sit and eat something because we can’t eat through the mask.
Lovely market while waiting for ferry. Yummy coffee and pastries. Has other hot foods too for meals
Staff is eating outside food and taking their time - over 25 minutes for a peppermint mocha???? Ridiculous
Nice stop before the ferry, usually quite busy lineups take awhile but great if you don't cut your time too short
This set of shops & take out food joints is a good diversion if you're waiting to load in your vehicle at the terminal. It can be busy here - and if it is, do yourself a favor and don't order coffee if there's a line, from either of the two coffee joints at either end of the building. The staff at both spots work really hard to get the orders out, but invariably drinks get left behind when you're forced to choose between your six dollar coffee or making it back to your car to board the ferry
