When Sr. Eileen Catterson, MD, established the only pediatric practice in Wyoming County, WV, nearly thirty years ago, her mission was to provide compassionate, affordable health care for all her young patients. Tug River Health Association, Inc.is committed to continuing that tradition. Together with the dedicated nurses and staff who started with Dr. Catterson nearly 30 years ago, Dr. Joanna Bailey, MD, Dr. Mohammad Ashir, MD, and Angela McKinney NP-C work daily to improve the health of Southern West Virginia families.

I was a medical student who had the privilege of completing my pediatrics rotation at Tug River. During that time, I met some wonderful people including Diane, Donna, Alisha and many other kind-hearted individuals. I was treated with respect and compassion by all the staff members, they would include me in all learning opportunities and even some social events and office activities. I also had the pleasure of working with Dr Bailey, a wonderful teacher and amazing Doctor. I’m writing this to thank Tug River for my experiences there, I’ve made it as a resident physician in Family Medicine and I’m looking forward to starting my journey as an official physician
Dr. Bailey is a amazing Doctor she treats each patient as she would want to be treated and that is with kindness, honest and respect! She is very educated and the type of doctor that doesn't stop until she finds out what is wrong and comes up with a solid treatment plan. All of the staff are just wonderful! I have moved back to Ohio and I must say I miss them all. Especially the beautiful Diane she is so kind and never to busy to greet each patient even if she is just crossing the waiting room. Diane goes above and beyond to make sure every concern brought to her is addressed or directed to the right person. If she can help you in anyway possible she will! They are all such a blessing!
Dr. McIntyre is the by far the best dr I have ever seen. She is very compassionate about her patients. She listens to me explains things to me. She prints out pamphlets for me to read over things. I mean she is by far the best. Everyone is nice and sweet there.

Doctor Bailey was under standing, patient and super helpful with all my needs and questions about treatment. The whole staff is professional and nice and i dont hate goin to the docs office anymore. Id definitely recommend this place for anyone!!!
The doctors are really awesome . I think personally that it's wonderful to have them in our town for our women and children. They are very quick and doesn't take long at all
Absolutely an amazing clinic, such sweet staff. The only doctors office I go to! Would recommend again to anyone!
