Today is 7/4/23….Doctor Sikes/Skies should defiantly reconsider his job title if he doesn't want to treat people. On Friday morning at around 2 AM. I went into the hospital to get treatment because I was having trouble breathing. I NEVER got a breathing treatment, which he said I was going to receive. And NO medicine! The Lady must of been a spray of the hospital but she said to me" I tried to look you up on FaceBook and couldn't find you, have you been here before!" RED FLAG TO ME! Never did she said it was for insurance reasons. And to top it off Doctor Sikes asked me to leave without treating my troubled breathing.
Excellent thank everyone the nurse Darlene,RN Gabby Heidy, doctors.
If I can, I will give this hospital a 0 star. I went into the emergency room because I experienced SOB and a extremely high fever , with a sore throat that I had for several days. They ran tested and turns out I had the flu. Dr recommended I stay home for 7 days. I needed a leave form signed by it being so many days I had to miss for work. The first lady I talked to in the emergency room was pretty nice. The other lady was extremely rude! I never in my life experience such rude behavior coming for a hospital. What the young lady saying about her miscarriage on the previous post is BELIEVABLE! The lady on the phone basically said it's your choice to come here and we don't have to help you. A lot of people warned me about this hospital. The way the staff interact with their patients when they are trying to get information is so rude and uninformative. That this bothered me this entire day. I tried calling back to ask the lady for her name. They hung up on me twice!. I always encounter this type of treatment when people notice that I am a black woman from the inner city of New Orleans by my accent. I will always call this type of Bullying out, too. I will not roll over for NO ONE!! I really hate bringing up my race because it should not matter. But this is the reason the tone changed from being helpful to " it was your choice".That was definitely my last visit there. I am not going where I am not welcome!
I'm writing this as I'm here now.HORRIBLE would be a compliment. I'm clearly experiencing a miscarriage. I've been checked in since 10:16am..it's 11:30 and no one has done nothing. Not a "srry for the loss" or nothing. All I've had done was pee in a cup and it been sitting here with me still.I felt irrelevant, hurt, and no one seemed as if losing a child or possibly saving one was priority. Such a shame.Guess I'll go home and take a motrin.
This review is for physician's group billing only. Visited this hospital in December 2022. I provided the hospital my insurance information during my visit but still received a full bill from the Tulane University Medical Group without insurance payment & adjustment. I tried to call the customer service number on the statement at least 4-5 times trying to provide my insurance information which I shouldn't have to because insurance info was collected during check-in but was told my information is not correct. I tried to escalate the issue to a supervisor at physician's group billing but never received a call back. It's been over a month. I am certain my insurance information is correct because my insurance paid the Tulane hospital side of the bill. It is a shame because I received good care at the hospital but have to reconsider if I want to continue my care there.
I had a very pleasing experience during my visit for surgery. Everyone was very kind and informative. I will continue to be seen at Tulane. My doctor, Dr. Amy Grace is the BEST yet! I must say every visit with her, she has made me feel welcomed and comfortable enough to trust her with my health.
My experience at Tulane was 100xs better than I have ever had at a hospital. Everyone from registration to all but one nurse was awesome! Dr Sanchez is wonderful and knowing I was in his hands for my hip replacement and then the great care from the everyone else made it less terrifying for me. Thanks y'all!
Terrible service. Rush you out , doesn’t even try to help. Talk some crazy to it’s patient. Front desk lady was only person helpful
The lady who checked me in was very nice and worked quickly to get me over to the lab, as it was very close to the time the lab was closing. She also entered all of my information into their system as nothing had transferred from the main Tulane Hospital/clinic. When I went to the lab, the lady there was also very kind and compassionate. This is the first time I’ve had blood drawn and the initial stick did not hurt. 5 stars to both of these ladies.
I would give your staff 5-stars for their friendliness and courteousness. However, my nasal symptoms were really overlooked. Symptoms got worse and I was eventually diagnosed with a potential case of pneumonia yesterday. I realize that the staff was dealing with unusual circumstances that day, but looking back I realized that no one even looked in my mouth, nose or ears. I thank the staff for everything they did to make my emergency room visit as easy as possible. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to certain symptoms and misdiagnosis left me feeling unnecessarily uncomfortable for several days.
