Tupelo Honey

About

Our Southern dishes & libations are served with a creative twist & a smile, & we serve our guests nothing that we wouldn’t want on our own supper table.

Description

Tupelo Honey Cafe first opened its doors in Asheville, NC in 2000. Considered one of the pioneers of Asheville's farm-to-table movement, we’ve continued to serve fresh, scratch-made Southern fare and put new twists on old Southern dishes and cocktails.

We’ve grown up from our humble beginnings as a single restaurant in the heart of Downtown Asheville and now have several locations across the Southeast. Each location not only continues the legacy of the original restaurant with creative, eclectic, imaginative food, but continues to foster a hometown feel through local art, local charitable outreach, local brews and responsibly sourced ingredients.

Our Myrtle Beach restaurant is the ninth Tupelo Honey location, which opened in 2015.

"Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual."

We reserved the private room for a bridal shower and everything was wonderful. This was a destination wedding so we had never been here before, but they did not disappoint! Cassie, the event coordinator, was so patient, gracious and accommodating. The room was set up and we were allowed to add our own special touches. The wait staff and hostesses were AWESOME and the food was simply Delicious. Hats off to the kitchen! Sorry I don't have any pictures of all the food, but we had meatballs, shrimp skewers and deviled eggs for appetizers. The main course was honey-dusted chicken, chicken and waffles, "smack-a-roni" and cheese, "kick-butt" collard greens and a garden salad. We will definitely return to Tupelo Honey when visiting Myrtle Beach in the future!
Just the right spice. It’s been open for more than 5 years, but we finally made our first visit. A few of us had chicken and waffles with mac and cheese and were pleasantly surprised by the unique combo. There were a few other items on the menu I’d try as well, so we may add this place to our summer beach vacation must visits. Anne-Marie was our server and she did a wonderful job. Drink were always filled important when serving some spicy food, and the food came out accurate and on-time. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is available. Parking: Lots of street parking surrounding the area.
We all enjoyed this dining experience. We loved our server who was very helpful. He seemed to have tried everything and able to answer all questions. We thought it was a soul food restaurant but it was more middle of the road Southern food. The decor was nice, to match the food!Food: 5/5
Stopped by for breakfast on our way out of town. They were able to sit us immediately despite having a few reservations coming in behind us. The guy at the front desk was so kind and helpful. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It took a while for our coffee and food to come out. My dad's eggs were not cooked how he ordered them. My chicken was under seasoned. My husband's pork was dry. The atmosphere was super cool and we had wished we visited for dinner and drinks during our visit! Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! The kids meals were large and delicious. However, all the food is served on VERY hot plates and the server put my daughter's plate in front of her and she immediately burnt her hand when grabbing her plate. I recommend requesting your children's plates not be hot or to be given to an adult instead.
This place has a beautiful inside, and as for as the food. I’ll give it all a total of 8, I would somewhat recommend this place. I’ve had better shrimp and grits and better fried chicken, but nothing really struck out to me yk? Still was good and I would mm maybe come back, and as far as the staff. Our waitress was quick and fast. We didn’t even finish our appetizers before we got our food.
Ok, so im not bashing, but I did wait sometime to go here, and I just feel like it's very overrated. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The food, however, is small in portion and not really seasoned, in my opinion. The chicken and waffles I was so ready for... but was so disappointed it was so Danity I just expected a little more for the price. But like I always say, I'm only one person. But it is a cute little spot I think I was more disappointed bc I wasn't giving the full experience. My food didn't look like what I see in commercials and tik tok. And that's what I came for. If you look at my pictures and then others, it's like they just set it on the plate
I loved this restaurant! The food was delicious, especially the Pork Eggs Benedict and potato cracklins. Our server, Jeanne, was so nice and efficient. Service was excellent. I made reservations so no wait. The atmosphere was very pleasant as well. Great experience here.Food: 5/5
Oh. My. God! So freaking good. All of it. Get the biscuits and cracklins for appetizers-no regrets! Shrimp and grits - best we have had. Chicken and waffles - amazing! Mac and Cheese - yes please. Washed down with delicious sweet tea and served by friendly staff.
The customer service is great ! The food presentation is great ! The only reason I gave three stars is because the food lacked flavor. The chicken is very bland I definitely recommend putting some season salt, onion and garlic powder in your mix for taste.
This place is a must go to if you want some very tasty and creative breakfast or lunch. If I am even close to this location I will go out of my way to eat here they never disappoint. I had the mega mimosa which was good with Honey Sriracha chicken and waffles a side of bacon and eggs. This meal is spicy FYI but I love the heat, sweet and crunch it bring to the plate. Also The blueberry waffles with a side of goat cheese grits will not disappoint as well. Service was quick. I would Recommend on the weekend to make reservations as it typically gets quite busy.
