I walked in looking to talk to a therapist about some mental health issues. Ended up 1013 involuntarily admitted against my will. After explaining how bad of an idea it was for me to stay there, I was stripped naked, they removed of all of my possession, and handed me some pills without knowing my diagnosis. After being locked up for 4 days my boss began to worry and called the cops to my house. I wasn't there obviously. That finally got someone's attention here. After 4 days of sitting through alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous meetings I've been sober my entire life I finally speak with a therapist again. I beg and plead with them to release me. At that time I finally heard my diagnosis. But since I hadn't been taking my medication they wanted to keep an eye on me. I ended up staying 3 more days against my will. 7 days total. I submitted a voluntary request for discharge on day 2. But since I was involuntarily admitted that request was shredded. There's more to my story. But this was my experience. The RN's helped me more than anything. They're the real hero's. The kitchen was great too. The doctors on the other hand, they're there for the money. They don't care about anyone. You'll never speak to the same doctor twice. You'll have to start from scratch every time you speak. You'll get asked the same questions over and over with zero treatment. Only a handful of pills. If you're homeless, this is the place to go. If you actually want treatment, and want to talk to someone, avoid this place at all cost. Or you'll end up homeless like me. I'm living in a tent at the state park campground now. Thanks turning point. I told you that you wouldn't understand how bad this would be for me. And that you couldn't understand the implications that this would cause to my life. But instead of listening, you took my insurance money and ran. There's a special place for people like you. And I can't wait for you to spend an eternity there.
Experience was disturbing. Multi million dollar parent company. If you listen closely and cleverly, you may hear the sound of giggling of the corporate execs as they count money and feed clients bean's and rice.
