I have a love hate relationship with full service petrol stations. I’d rather pump my own gas but might not complain so much in the winter. Anyway, attendants were friendly and attentive when we went. I would grab stuff to eat and use the loo before you get petrol. It’s easier to pull out and straight onto the highway instead of doin a u-turn to park. They also have a service center.
We pulled right up to the pump. Waited several minutes for an attendant to come over. He took our credit card and started pumping. He then went to several other cars to start pumping and stop pumping. He washed one windshield. Quite a few minutes later he finished our pumping. I asked him to wash our windshield, he walked away, pretending not to hear me. We drove off and my wife noticed on our receipt that he hadn't pumped 1 full gallon. See first receipt. I drove around and pulled back up to the same pump. Same attendant came over, after I honked the horn. We showed him the receipt. He didn't apologize, he wouldn't pump more gas. I told him to fill it up, he said, only one time, no can do and pointed to another pump. We then had to drive to another pump to get a fill up. This attendant was nice and apologetic. I know mistakes happen. But we spent 5 times the amount of time I would have taken me to get out and pump my own gas. I'll never be back.
Sunoco violates N.J. Admin. Code § 12:196-1.1 Subsection C, which in detail removes gas station attendants from pumping fuel that is intended for marine, aircraft or diesel vehicles. It’s been that way for many, many years, allowing operators to pump their own fuel. Several lawmakers have advised gas stations of the exclusion; however, this gas station refuses to follow. On 5/11/22, a gas station attendant deliberately attempted to put Gasoline into my diesel vehicle despite verbal and visual instructions to only put diesel in the vehicle. Even a Green “DIESEL” gas cap was ignored by these incompetent attendants.
Rest area is full of trash. Bathroom very dirty. Doors of toilets has locks I functional need repair. People urinate on toilet seats what a mess
Gas attendants are super rude and literally will walk away while you're talking to them. Would absolutely not stop here if you can avoid it.
Don’t stop here unless you have an extra hour to kill. Full service gas stations are dead. Please stop this madness NJ. The attendants spend more time counting their tips than pumping gas.
Listen fellas. I grew up in Jersey. The morons at this station give the state a bad name. This is the worst gas station in the state. You can't use half the pumps as they won't serve you if you back in, and the other half requires a wait in line. I backed in and was refused service. I left and got gas for 20 cents cheaper 5 minutes away. This station should be shut down. GET GAS AT Valero OFF Exit 7, not this station.
If there is a 0 star option, I would give 0 star to this gas station. Rude staffs ever and they all are a liar. We were waiting in line to get the gas and one of the staff waved in front of our car to pull the car in the station but once we drove over there, he yelled at us that he didn't wave to us and he kept cursing to us and tell us to go back in the line or he gonna kill us or make us suck his dick! He rejected to fill the gas for us. We were shocked and forgot to record the video while he was yelling at us. Then we went to talk to a manager. We found out that his name is Jonas Thurmon. The manager called him in and his friends to talk, they all lied that he was cool and never cursed or never yelled at us and the manager just simply believed them. Before we left, there was another Indian lady came in to report to the manager that the staffs were racist. They rejected to fill the gas to her and only fill the gas for other black customers.
We were told to pull into the garage to get our wipers fixed, and nobody came to help. We left without getting helped.
So it's not a slef service but you don't have to be rude about it most stations on the usa not dude
