Beautiful, well-preserved trail system. The walk to the lookout from the south trailhead is really short but pretty steep so you can get to the view fast!
The South trailhead led to beautiful areas and amazing views. We found the trails well marked and easy to follow. A number of loop options were available. We really enjoyed this hike and will be back? Restrooms: Porta potty at trailhead
It was a decent trail. It's quite the uphill walk though. The view at the top is pretty good and they even have a couple benches to rest at and take the view in. There was a honey bucket at the beginning of the trail which is nice for the ladies. Restrooms: There's a Porta potty at the start of the trail Dog-friendliness: There were quite a few people with dogs there
Great trails, some steep but plenty clear, nice view points, you could spend a day here if you wanted. Even days of the month bikes are allowed on trials, odd days of the month horses are allowed on the trails. We didn't know that and got lucky with our bikes on an even day. Hope this helps and happy hiking!
So beautiful here and there's many hikes you can do. There's a South entrance and a North entrance respectively. Different areas of Deer Harbor Rd & Crow Valley Rd for hiking without State Park fees. These hikes are steep so get poles or a hiking stick and good hiking boots for these hikes. You will run into locals on these trails and they're very friendly.
Beautiful trails, that are graded to be even/non treacherous. Moderate to easy hiking with a few benches to rest and take in the views. Small amount of parking at trail head no fee, dogs on leash allowed.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
An incredible place to visit with beautiful vistas and beach access. Simply stunning. There are also small interpretative plaques to learn a bit about the area. Worth the drive.
What an absolutely gorgeous mountain! I did the South Trailhead hike and took the Raven Ridge Trail. OH MY WORD. It was beautiful the entire way but there was snow and hardly a soul around! The serenity amongst the snow and the trees was a spiritual experience.
Very quiet, serene, primordial forest once you get into the preserve. The trail in is a service road, which is nice and will graded, but is unforgiving in grade.
Great hike! A little muddy and slippery in February but still awesome views.
