Nice park! There is different playgrounds for different age groups. Lots of open area to run. Tons of big trees to enjoy shade. Clean! Dog friendly. Multiple benches. Parking is spread out for your convenience. Will Definitely be bringing the kids and friends back to play! Playground: Rubber tire chips instead of woodchips. 4 age appropriate areas for swings and kids playground Dog-friendliness: Paths spread out to stroll through areas.
An absolutely amazing little park!! There’s a tennis court here, a basketball court, a baseball area that is PERFECT for flying kites, it doubles over for ice skating in the winter, there’s a playground for big kids, and a smaller playground for the younger kids, as well as a set of swings for older kids/adults and a set of swings for younger kids. Needless to say, our daughter approved :- Oh, fair warning, a police officer tagged our car for being parked there for slightly over two hours. We didn’t get in trouble, it was a friendly reminder :- it’s nothing rude, it’s just so other people can also use the park because the park is next to the hospital and is sometimes fairly busy. Highly recommended, worth a visit :-
I've been coming to this park for over 10 years now and I still love it just as much as I always have. There is a little pathway for people to walk on. The pathway on the same side as the parking lot also has physical therapy exercise equipment since it's right behind Barberton Hospital. There are a good amount of trash cans placed throughout the park, so it's fairly clean as well. There are two different size playgrounds for big kids and little kids. The pavilion has water fountains and bathrooms on the backside of the building, along with plenty of picnic tables and access to electrical outlets for anything you may need or want to power during your picnic day at the park. Overall, it's a wonderful park to enjoy your day doing whatever type of human things your heart desires. : Playground: Two playgrounds for kids of all sizes to enjoy. As well as two types of swings for tiny humans and slightly bigger humans to swing on. Restrooms: Men's and woman's restrooms are located on the backside of the pavilion for public use. The last few times I've been at the park, they've been locked though. Probably so people can't abuse/vandalize them, I would assume. Dog-friendliness: They have a little station with baggies for people to properly dispose of their dog's poo poos, so yes the park is dog-friendly.
I use Tuscora Park as a resting and recovery spot when returning to home, having multiple medical maladies means I MUST stop and wait for pain to subside often. The park has a few benches that are useful for this. Observation of others in the park and memories show that the ball field is popular so is basketball court, my memories also include using the tennis court, shuffleboard, and the older play equipment. Sitting and observing the wildlife for me is very enjoyable, the squirrels and assorted birds are interesting to to watch. Even enjoyed the dog walkers. The new disc golf course was in use and saw several groups tossing discs around. Am waiting for the installation of the maps of the various baskets and their tees so as to follow the correct paths of flight.
I just sat and ate lunch Jimmy John's the park is reasonably quiet and we'll maintained. Squirrels, birds and people out walking. Just being outside on a summer's day.
Decent playground but like everywhere these days, be careful. Trash and "unsafe material" can be found here and there and there are carpenter bees flexing their muscles around the slides and benches.
This park is always being taken care of. They are the best. They just added frisbee golf. Dog-friendliness: All kinds of dogs are walked thru the park.
Barberton has ruined this park through stupidity by selling this full service park by randy hart who was the mayor. Barberton seems to always pick the dumbest mayors on earth.
We are visiting relatives this summer and wanted to take our youngest to play and burn off some energy! The park was so beautiful and clean. The playground equipment was in great shape and there were benches all around in the shade to sit and watch but still be close enough to the kids. There was a pavilion being used for a large party, basketball courts, swings and a big and little playground for the younger ones. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the park!
One of the best parks in Barberton. Just wish they kept the bathrooms open.
