The Ford Motor Company Library (also called the Main Library) is located in the Hollis Burke Frissell building and serves the whole campus.

Encompasses all activities designed to instruct the library user about library resources and research techniques. This electronic classroom is equipped with Apple Mac, high-speed Internet access, LCD projector, video cassette player, DVD player, and wireless networking. The lab can be reserved for instructional classes or faculty/staff training.

All library materials must be checked out at the circulation desk. To check out materials, the borrower must present a valid TU ID card and be registered in the Library System. Students may check out books for 30 days. Faculty may borrow for the entire semester. (Check-out limit is ten books).

Designated a Federal Depository Library in 1907, The Ford Motor Company Library/Learning Resource Center, Hollis Burke Frissell Building, provides free public access to government information and resources. Subjects selected most frequently are from the Departments of Agriculture, Education, and Health and Human Services. (Not available for check-out)
LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER3rd floor, Phone: 334-727-8895
Consists of four areas:
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)-Process to obtain materials not owned by Tuskegee University. Articles usually received in 3 to 5 days, and books in 4 to 7 days. (No charge for items obtained from universities within Alabama)
Media Center-Contains an extensive collection of non-print resources (videos, cassette tapes, filmstrips, slides, records, etc.), viewing room and equipment to support the total instructional program at Tuskegee University.
Serials Processing - All serials received by the Ford Motor Company Library. Library are processed in this department.
Mini-Computer Lab-Also has six computer workstations available for student use. (Typewriters also available for student use)
LIBRARY COMPUTER LAB 3rd floor, Phone: 334-724-4740
The Library Computer Lab, located on the 3rd floor of the Main Library, offers access to 42 IBM and Gateway (Pentium 4) workstations loaded with Microsoft Office 2010 Suite and high speed Internet access. It also contains ceiling-mounted video projection, video cassette player, DVD player, speaker system, and wireless networking capability.
REFERENCE 2nd floor, Phone: 334-727-8896
Assists users in accessing, retrieving and interpreting library resources. Contains materials ranging from general information (e.g. Encyclopedia Britannica, etc.) to subject-oriented (e.g. Encyclopedias of Science & Technology, Business & Finance, Psychology, Sociology, etc.), as well as master theses, microforms, current periodicals, subject indexes, dictionaries, and handbooks. (Not available for check-out)
RESERVE ROOM 1st floor, Phone:334-724-4744
Contains materials placed on "Reserve" by instructors as required reading for students in their courses. Patrons must present a valid Tuskegee University ID card to utilize these materials. This room also houses newspapers, phone directories, popular magazines & recreational reading materials.
WASHINGTON ROOM3rd floor,Phone: 334-727-8890
Named in honor of Booker T. Washington, this collection contains materials by and about "Black People." Although its strongest holdings are in African American history and literature, materials about Africa and the entire Black Diaspora are included. (Not available for check-out)
This area also houses the Rare Book Collection. These are books published before 1900, books published in limited editions, valuable first editions and autographed books. (Not available for check-out)
