Disappointed after 10 years as a customer staff was rude and owner yelled and reprimanded me 3 times for pouring an ounce of water in the tub as his former staff had done for many years. Even though I apologized 3 times after each reprimand , bought and paid for the product including the one bag which I poured out the water so it wouldn’t leak in my tote, and the gal working who took my credit card apologized for the owners out of balance over reacting, I thought the issue was over. Not so. A week later the gal who apologized did an about face and when I selected items to buy she told me they weren’t selling to me as I was disrespectful? They were retaliation Discrimination over an ounce of water from the week before. It was Perry the owner being rude and disrespectful over an once of water claiming his former staff was wrong for pouring the water into the tub? I complained to the Green Market staff and they mentioned he is very intense and they would speak to him . 2 weeks later the Gal who had originally apologized again very arrogantly told me they aren’t allowed to talk to me? It escalated instead of being resolved so now I’m shocked and miffed and told her to just Stop! Be careful as there is definitely out of balance behavior. I used to have a farm and I respect farmers but I sure don’t need that outrageous abuse . The gal is Mexican and I assume is legal as obviously she is being told what to say after first apologizing for Perry’s behavior. In a city with serious violent crime , his reaction his way off balance.
