Do not use this place for rentals. I rented a trailer that ended up not fitting my needs brought back in an hour and they charged me a full day. Not good business practice. You can tell by other reviews ad well.
Great experience. 2 day rental for a 6X12 foot box trailer. Equipment well maintained no problems. Office was a pleasure to work with
This U-haul facility has convinced me to never again rent at U-haul again. I returned using the mobile app but stated that I disagreed with the charges. The app informed me that I would receive a call the next day with an explanation but since it was Sunday I thought maybe I would receive it Monday instead. Monday came and they sure were quick to attempt charge my card but never called me regarding the discrepancy. I then submitted a concern to U-haul and received a phone call days later from the manager stating that the person who was supposed to call me back Monday never did, he didn't have the paperwork in front of me and asked me if he could call me the following Monday instead, I said absolutely no problem and waited... Nothing happened for days finally on Thursday they charged my card again. I wasn't watching so this time it went through, yet again still no phone call. I called U-haul to make a complaint where the manager then lied to the U-haul representative stating he already talked to me. The next day, I received a phone call from the manager who was very quick to try to explain the charges to me but when I tried to explain that my issue was not with the charges but the complete avoidance of calling to discuss the charges with me, he kept talking over me and yelling at me. After not being able to get a single word in to voice my complaint I told him to shut up and listen to me so I could speak and he hung up on me. Any company that refuses to call when they say they are going to multiple times and not let a customer even speak deserves no business of mine. Again, I wasn't even upset with the charges by the end of this but the complete lack of customer service and care.
I called 3 uhaul companies in the area and they did not answer their phones. But the gentleman at this location did and was very friendly and helpful! I ordered a 10 ft truck and as we started loading it at home we realized that my stuff would not fit. Called him back and asked if we could switch to a larger truck. He said there was one available and that would be no problem! We switched out the the truck for a 15ft and the move went perfectly! If you are looking in the area for a uhaul I would highly recommend this location! I'm not convinced the ppl that left bad reviews on this location knew what they were talking about- I had a great experience! I'm sure there are many more positive experiences ppl have had but unfortunately most ppl only take time out to complain and the ppl that have good experiences do not tend to bother leaving reviews- again, I highly recommend!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Not using U-Haul ever again because of this stupid location. They charged me more than what it was supposed to, didn’t have their car filled up as they are supposed to give it to the next person that rents it and they offer after hours pick up WITHOUT letting know that they will charge you a fee for it too that never happened with any other U-Haul only this location UNBELIEVABLE they charged me over 200 miles extra that I didn’t even use. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Employee canceled my reservation because my phone could not receive automatic texts. And then proceeded to give me an attitude telling me he would not rent to me because I got slightly upset with him for canceling on me. I tried to give him the informationhe asked for but he wouldn't lissen. Terrible customer service. Save yourselves the trouble and go somewhere else. I would give 0 stars if it was an option.
Had a rental reservation for a 17’ box truck for over a week now. Get to the U-Haul and right away get attitude from the guy at the computer, gave my girlfriend and I nothing but attitude. Then tells me they don’t have the truck I reserved and that I HAVE to go get it 25 minutes away. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable, especially having to pay $2 per mile now having to go another 25 minutes out of my way. DO NOT RESERVE A TRUCK THRU UHAUL IN LAKE HOPATCONG AREA!
awful.. Called tuesday was told truck available for Thursday. 15 minutes later had reservation with confirmation number. That night uhaul customer service called me and told me truck is not available. Woman was nasty couldn't and was not interested In explaining why.. Nightmare ...rent somewhere else
Extremely rude called to rent a truck just now and was told all they have is a pick up truck. I said I am looking for a box truck and he said last day of the month good luck and hung up on me. Never use this place for anything!
Didn't tell us until we arrived the day of to pick up the U-Haul that they infact did not have a U-Haul available to take.
