Absolute trash. Made an appointment for a trailer hitch install at 7am. I called the night before to make sure if I was in by 7 I’d be out in time to make it to work with reasonable wiggle room. I understand install issues taking extra time, but that’s not what frustrates me. They made me wait 50 minutes until they even started. Terrible customer service.
The first truck I was issued only had half a tank of gas and the back was full of trash and the dolly was loose. The self service app features bugged out which prevented me from being able to complete a walk-around. I was in line for 40 minutes to get a different truck. That truck ended up breaking down due to overheating 63 miles from the return location and my home because there was no oil. It took over 90 minutes for the first technician to shop up to ID that issue and state he couldn't find a leak, so someone just forgot to put oil in it. It then took another hour plus for a tow truck to show to tow us and the second bad 15' truck back. Then whoever looked at my case decided it warranted refunding less than half of what I put down in a deposit. This location is absolute trash. I've never had this kind of experience renting from U-Haul in other locations.
Went to rent a 10ft truck which is smaller than what I usually get. For 4 hrs, no equipment and asked to be opted out of insurance because I have my own. I was asked for proof of my insurance..I literally just rented from another location 4 weeks ago and was never asked for my insurance proof and it was for a 15ft truck. I asked is this a new policy or different locations are different. He said different. Then I was quoted nearly 100$. I canceled. Drove to Edgewood location paid 70 brought it back a hour before and actually received a refund of 30 something. Total was in the 40s and no proof of insurance requested. Never going here again. Seems suspect to me.
We rented numerous times from uhaul. In this location, The guy named Brian spit towards us, he was rude, aggressive. He didn’t know how to hook up the car to the trailer. The trailer was dragging on the road and was not hooked up anymore so we had to stop, redo. When we returned the trailer Brian got argumentative again. He wanted to charge us for redoing his” job”. Basically, looks like nobody trained him to do his job. Brian shouldn’t interact with customers. We reported harassment to the corporate.
Probably the worst service I've ever gotten in my entire life. We had a reservation for 9am, didn't get the truck til almost quarter of ten. Five people behind the counter, and two working. If you can go to another place, go. The laziest people I have ever dealt with in my entire life.
Got here 30 minutes after they opened and no one was inside. And to get one of the people working on the rentals to come help. Needed to have a phone and forgot it so had to leave and come back. Came back and 2 people were working the counter and had 0 interest in helping. There was an elderly customer trying to get boxes and no one helped her. Then the people at the counter were talking bad about the customer. The employees here were terrible, never come here.
Absolutely awful experience, showed up to my appointment and they told me there was no mechanical and that I would have to call the store manager. I did so, left a message and to this day have not heard back. Don’t let people make appointments you can’t keep!!!!! At least call to tell them you don’t have a mechanic! This is the second time this has happened at the same store.
I reserved a 15 foot truck a week back. On Jan 13 , picked it up, without any issue , paid for everything including auto mover trailer . Asked to pick up trailer the next day . When I come pick up the trailer next day , first thing , guy on desk smells alcohol, and started saying I didn’t pay for trailer. After spending half hour with corporate call he says it’s paid but my license is expired and can’t pick up the trailer . My license was expired but they didn’t say anything when I picked up truck previous day and charged me for truck and trailer . I even showed them the paper from vehicle department. I filled up the gas, put my furniture and now they are saying this. I was planning to move to other state and they ruined it all. The corporate office in call even mentioned I can take truck but can’t take trailer with that Paper. I said that’s of no use to me . But they are not willing to refund me since I already took truck and put some miles on it . Not sure how bad the service can be especially with national company like uhaul. Very very bad . I would give minus. I would even sue them if this kind of negligence is enough and anyone can guide me.
I had an appointment scheduled over 2 weeks ago to get wiring installed and a few pieces for my hitch. I had to prepay online to schedule my appointment. Uhaul canceled my appointment and didn’t reschedule, no reason provided. After a few days I called to try to get rescheduled. The woman I spoke to tried her best but was unable to reschedule me so she took my information and said this location would call me back. They never did and I was unable to get anyone to help me over the phone, so my fiancé stopped into their location in person. They informed him that the person responsible for the wiring quit and they would have their regional manager call him to reschedule at a different location. 1 week later, still no communication. They literally took my money, canceled my appointment, and have been completely unhelpful to reschedule or refund me. I never leave negative reviews, but I feel like it’s now the only way to get anyone to refund or reschedule my appointment.
Nice staff, easy process. Our rental was blocked in which was a little frustrating but overall good experience.
