UPDON's mission is to promote innovative partnerships to strengthen the prevention, detection & management of diabetes across the U.P.
We provide continuing education (often free) for nurses and dietitians.
We also offer PATH (Personal Action Towards Health) workshops. PATH is a 6 week workshop for people living with any chronic health concern. We don't charge for PATH but do accept donations.
Our Help for U.P. College Students program connects full-time students without insurance to resources, supplies and a diabetes educator.
We support Camp UPeninsulin, a week-long camp for U.P. children with diabetes.
We have also been working in partnership with NMU students to promote the free Medicare Diabetes Screening benefit.
