It took over 3.5 hours for me to pick up my prepaid rental at Green Motion. I watched the counter staff take his time talking with, laughing with, getting to know a previous customer beautiful, slender, single female and it took him over an hour with her, not wanting his encounter with this customer to end as it turned into a personal conversation. When it was my turn married with my rings on my finger, I had an entirely different experience. It was like I was speaking to a whole new person with business like persona, straight to business, no friendliness like I had just watched for the past hour. In any case, I had already prepaid the vehicle so I can speed up pick up process, but it was the worse experience I had ever had. Standing in line for an hour, I had plenty of time to get my information ready—I presented my DL, credit card, and insurance information with the declaration page as requested. I have full coverage with AAA. In short, the counter staff did not want to release the vehicle to me unless I purchased their insurance which was $28/day. I was going to have the car for 14 days so I was not going to spend an extra $392 for unnecessary additional insurance coverage! I called my insurance agent to them know what was going on and why I was being forced to purchase the rental company’s insurance when I already have full coverage with them AAA. I was reassured from my insurance agent that I had the right to decline their insurance since I already had full coverage. But the counter staff was very short, rude, impolite, and disrespectful, even to my agent. Moreover, this particular staff whose name is Lester and whose picture is attached at Green Motion from LAX refused to speak to me after my insurance agent spoke to him and informed him that I have the right to decline their insurance, so I went to the manager to plea my case but she was extremely busy so she couldn’t help me. She and another coworker asked why he was acting the way he was acting and instructed him to just release the car to me but he continued to refused to speak to me. In fact he told me directly that he “refuses to not provide any service to me”. So I waited for another hour for their manager to assist me. After she helped me I was out in less than 10 minutes. I stood in line at 12:10pm, I did not leave the counter until 3:45pm.
Do your research and do not deal with this company. They hit you with information once you are there to pick up the car. I had to provide additional information that wasn't told to me prior to renting. The first car that was given to me, I declined it. It had several dents and I was told as long as it's documented I don't have to worry. The second car was dirty, sand in the trunk and they claimed that the gas tank was 5/6. It was below. The maintenance warning illuminated the dashboard. I bought the car back twice for the same issue - I was told not to worry about it. The last and final thing. They charged me $8.22 for overage. They claimed that I returned the car late. My reservation time was 12 noon. I picked up at 11:40. I was told to return at noon, that the additional time was ok. On my receipt it stated return 12:00 pm. When I called and attempted to explain what I was told, and my receipt stated 12:00 pm I was yelled at and hung up on. Terrible customer service. I should've paid attention to customers that were in line ahead of me, because there were at least 2 different parties that were dissatisfied and walked away. Low price equals bad customer service with this company. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the aggravation that you're going to experience while attempting to handle your issue with U Save rental.
Lester was the most amazing employee I ever met. Usually these places suck and will stick you with fees, Lester made it easy and was so friendly. I can’t believe how nice he was and how he made sure we were taken care of!
What we thought was going to be big savings ended up being the same as a normal, more convenient chain rental. We got charged a “discounted” $20 fee for car cleaning for a dusty car that was driven on the highway. Apparently, they don’t have a car wash on site so if it’s not sparkling, you’ll be paying.
First time in California and Andrew M was the most helpful person I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Answered every question I had, very professional, and had a great vibe. Made my first visit here super simple. I will always use this company, and I will make sure to ask for Andrew every time.
Our helper Lester was absolutely phenomenal. From our first time in la he helped us out navigate and have a better introduction into the city. We were able to get into a new dodge charger and our entire stay in LA couldn’t have been made better if Lester didn’t help start it off right. 10/10 would recommend
Lester was really helpful and helped me fix an issue that was caused by a travel agency booking error. Really friendly guy and was able to get me a substitute car within minutes. Site itself was a little crowded and line was long, so I’d plan ahead for some additional time. But friendly and helpful customer service.
The worst customer service I have eve experienced. I rented a car from this company. The car broke down while I was 3 minors at 1:00Am. I was unable to reach anyone at their after hours customer service number. I had to take a LYFT back to my hotel. The next morning I woke up early and took an Uber to the company physical address at LAX. I was there at 8:20 am. When I arrived I was explaining them what happened with the car, I asked them to take me to go get the car. I left it outside of restaurant less the half a mile from where I was staying at. They chose not to and took me back to my hotel with one of their employees. The employee that took me to my hotel was driving like a maniac, playing loud music, and was extremely rude… after all that. I asked that he take me to car so I could show them where it was located and he rudely said no. I know find out that they charged me for an extra day because they couldn’t find the car, they went to the wrong location looking for the car. This happened 3/6/2023 and still no manager or employee has contacted me about this and I have made 100 calls with NO ANSWER. I would not refer this company to anyone and Priceline should have them removed. To: whoever reply as owner Everything you stated on your reply it’s a lie you did not pick me up from my hotel, you did not give me another car, and I did not damage the car at all.
