As you visit campus, be sure to speak a word of thanks to the Tohono O’oodham and Pascua Yaqui people upon whose land we are guests here in Tucson. As guests and scholars we will build this community and continue the development of leaders for ‘Indian Country.’

The University of Arizona's Office of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement (IME) is the hub and champion for Inclusive Excellence, the strategic practice of embedding diversity and inclusiveness throughout all sectors of the university. IME staff members are advocates, promoters, consultants, co-sponsors, allies, and trainers for the implementation of I.E. The Office supports students, staff, faculty, alumni, and Tucson community in capitalizing on the benefits of diversity. We adhere to a broad and comprehensive definition of diversity including gender identity, gender expression, race/ethnicity, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, religion, disability, veteran's status, first-generation status, nationality, citizenship, age and other social identity dimensions that are critical to the UA community.
