"Our Home Is Your Home"
Helping Families Connect, Honor & Remember
Our tradition of service and compassion began with Uriah C. Davis in 1881 and evolved into second generation business with his two sons: Will C. and Ralph C. Davis.
James M. and W. Clark Davis continued the family ties into a third generation and strengthened the foundation of excellence we have always maintained.
On January 1, 1976, Thomas E. Dzuryak became a partner, and he assumed full ownership in May of 1987. He strived to preserve the fine policies of the founders while advancing the highest ideals of the profession in this present-day world.
Mr. Dzuryak retired May 1, 2013, selling the funeral home to John W. Callahan. John has been associated with the Davis Funeral Home since 1997. Over the years, John worked closely with Mr. Dzuryak, observing the rich tradition and compassionate care provided for each and every family.
Having been a licensed funeral director since 1987, John carries out all capacities of the funeral service, allowing each family to design their own unique funeral. Every family has their own story to tell and celebrate the life of their loved one. As a funeral director with over 25 years of experience, I am able to guide families through the process and strive to make sure your family's needs are met above and beyond your expectations.
John is assisted by Kristi Condon, MSW, LCSW. Kristi provides grief support and resources for families. She is also a licensed life insurance agent for Pekin Insurance and specializes in pre need planning and arrangements.
