The UC Merced Fresno Center, established in 1997, houses various UC and non-UC programs, offers educational services and serves as a meeting facility.
UC Merced established the Fresno Center in 1997 as one of the first initiatives during planning stages for the UC Merced campus.
The center helped the San Joaquin Valley prepare for the opening of UC Merced and continues to serve the educational needs of Fresno area residents.
In addition, the UC Merced Fresno Center is ideal for meetings and as a work and office location.

UC Merced opened Sept. 5, 2005, as the 10th campus in the University of California system and the first American research university of the 21st century. Situated near Yosemite National Park, the campus significantly expands access to the UC system for students throughout the state, with a special mission to increase college-going rates among students in the San Joaquin Valley.
