Nice front desk but terrible techs. My worst experience with UCLA so far. Tech told me she would give me a break if I asked during my mammogram, and when I did she left me stuck at the machine. She was extremely condescending and explained to me how important the images were for diagnosis duh and that everybody feels discomfort. Some people have no place with patient care. I will invite a chaperone / witness next time.
Appointment was easy to make through the central appointment line. Got here on time, was called to do the ultrasound with less than 10 mins of wait. The front desk staff were nice and attentive, they noticed there weren’t any seats available, they offered to bring me a chair. The radiologist did my ultrasound was very friendly and gentle. Parking was easy. I had a smooth and nice experience here. Was in and out in no longer than 40 mins.
Had my core needle breast biopsy done at this location. Lab at UCLA in Westwood never received my breast tissue sample. Pathology was never done because the specimen was LOST. I had to make two attempts to ask why pathology not done. UCLA never bothered to give me heads up for lost specimen until I had to pester them with questions for a week. How is that for best hospital in California...Update: No one is taking accountability for lost specimen. No one from this UCLA location is apologizing for the mess up. My breast doctor did not even know the specimen was lost. No follow up on her end. No ownership even though she ordered it. This is not the #1 hospital in California they like to believe.
Had a breast ultrasound here after waiting 7 months to get an appointment and the results are concerning and require a targeted follow up ultrasound due to a mass seen. The earliest they can get me in is in 4 months. If this mass is potentially cancerous, I could be extremely sick by that point and it could be too late for various interventions. Awful patient care. I now have to spend time trying to find another place to get the ultrasound done.
I had an excellent service at UCLA radiology and wanted to recognize the professionalism and care of Dr Hoffman and her team. Tasha and Patty were extremely attentive and made this experience a really good one. Thank you to the entire team.
Amanda was such a delight to talk to. She is thoughtful and polite and shows genuine care for the patients. I am new to town and have never visited a radiology office before. She is so helpful in guiding me through the process.
Front desk is awful, no empathy, not helpful, unkind and not resourceful. When I ask for my records done last week I am told they are not medical records. When I ask for the number of medical records they tell me to google it. I have had to cancel two doctors appointment as I cannot get my records. Go somewhere else!
Awesome folks that work here! They bent over backwords to help me out and squeeze in a time to give me an MRI for my injured foot. So thankful!!
Horrible receptionist service. They can't answer any questions or direct you to the right place. The only word they know is "no".
