I just took my Youth Group here for summer camp and I did NOT regret it. I am the newest Youth pastor of my group and I had been looking for a summer camp they would enjoy. The previous year they went to FUGE, and TRCC, and they did not enjoy these places at all! As a matter of fact, I heard horror stories about these places. So, on a whim, I asked my assistant if she knew of a place and she recommended a place she had attended when she was a teenager, UCYC. So, we tried it and my kids immediately asked if we could come back for winter camp We are! UCYC has non-stop activities to keep the students busy, very accommodating staff, an awesome property to house the camp, great cabins to keep campers, and an amazing program to engage the students. All in all, the experience was worth every dollar that was spent and terrific memories were created. Now, I am going to give some criticism while still giving a five star review. First, they provide ear plugs in case the music is too loud. Wouldn’t it be easier to turn the music down? I mean, the music WAS loud. I actually used ear plugs! Why not bring the decibels down? Just a thought. Also, the way the food line was managed, terrible. Kids were cutting the entire time we were at camp and even cut in front of my students who were at the front of the line! Kind of ridiculous. Last but not least, even though the cafeteria staff was friendly, the food was not the best. Don’t come here for the food guys. All in all, this camp gets five stars because in spite of these short comings, it was the best camp my students had ever been to, and even if they did not change these recommendations, we would still go back!
I came here this weekend for a Fall Retreat with a college group and church camps in the past always having a great experience. So many nature views and great working staff.
Awesome camp!!! Great amenities from paintball, rock climbing, swimming, canoeing, gaga ball, and random others. Comfortable cabins and amazing, AMAZING staff. always excited about eating their food. Best camp food I've ever had.
1st time coming to winter camp and it was hype! I really enjoyed the message Jason shared over over weekend about Gideon. I felt that it was relevant for our teens. Enjoyed the activities, food and fellowship! I'll definitely be back.
Had an awesome week with the 4th thru 6th grades! Session were awesome and a great message for the kids !
Amazing camp. Well organized and Christ centered! The staff is fantastic. Worship is amazing. I highly recommend this camp for any church youth program.
Nice nice place for a retreat or family fun.
Both of my kids thoroughly enjoyed their very first experience at camp. They are 10 and 11 1/2. The staff were wonderful and were so caring and competent when my daughter got an extended nosebleed, from the dry air in Arizona. They tried new foods, and loved them. They loved the games, and loved having dedicated bible study time, every day. What a blessing this place is!
Had a great time here! Cabins are nice and warm. Good food and coffee! Love that we didn't have to clean cabins afterwards. My Jr high kids had fun. Love to come back for winter camp next year!
This summer was our child's first UCYC camp experience and he had a wonderful time. He has food intolerance needs and the chef and kitchen staff were so great at providing him safe food alternatives that were comparable to what the general population was eating. He loved the theme, had a lot of fun with the special activities, and came back exhausted and losing his voice. Thank you UCYC for providing such a wonderful experience for these young kids to learn more about God's love for each of them! We look forward to more camp trips in the future!
