Customer service severely lacking. I'll pump it up to 2 stars because I did find what I needed despite the fact that I had NO assistance. It is a very large store; clean and neat. There were a few bare shelves, but overall, a decent selection of products. I pretty much had to search every shelf to find what I was looking for. A small brand. I was very surprised that no staff were on the floor. There were two ladies receiving make-overs and two cashiers and only two customers checking out. I saw one person wheeling in some new stock, but even though I tried to make eye-contact, they didn't even acknowledge me. Customers in the store seemed to be there for recreation and not shopping. Finally, I have to mention the first time I visited this store was at the end of the pandemic and my husband was with me. We walked in and walked out. There was such an unbearable scent of perfume or room freshener, that neither of us could breathe! I did not experience that today, but mention it here because I didn't expect to return to this store. I MUCH prefer Sephora for the customer service and product selection--FAR superior.
Some of the staff is nice. However, I got my eyebrows done here for the first time and honestly I probably should have just waited to get them done because the rate they charge is much higher than any place I've been to. So if you want to get them done they can do it just you'll pay more for the same quality as a cheaper place. Overall I like ulta as a company.
I love this place. I don't go in often but when i do I'm excited at what I might find. Clearance is my favorite. But this year, I keep going in to claim my birthday gift but it's never available, they're always out. Kind of bummed about that. Hope I can get it before it expires.
They are always out of most of what I need. Once I waited months for them to restock an item. I have to drive to Roseville or Chico to get product. Not overtly friendly customer service either—typical teenagers.
Amazing service at the benefit counter!! I don’t trust anyone to do my eyebrows ! I had Charlotte do them and I was impressed! Definitely coming back.
My dad's hair was looking so wild, I swear I saw a family of birds trying to make a nest in it. He even tried to trim it himself, but let's just say he's not exactly a licensed cosmetologist. He was so desperate for a haircut that he called every hair salon in Yuba City, but no one would take him in. It was like he had a contagious case of bad hair from the North Pole. But then, like a hair superhero, Kathryn at Ulta swooped in to save the day. She promised my dad that Mary, their hair expert, would give him a haircut that would make him look like a young Brad Pitt. And boy, did she deliver! Mary transformed his hair from bird's nest to GQ-worthy in no time. My dad couldn't stop talking about how amazing Kathryn and Mary were. He's already planning his next visit. Thanks, Kathryn and Mary, for making my dad's day and giving him the confidence to rock his AirPods like a boss!
They didn't have everything, but their customer service was very good for the ones I interacted with. Mostly I spoke with the person at the benefit counter. She was quick to address my question gift for someone, this is price range. Found a great one from the start... And I couldn't find a better one myself after. She was knowledgable about the store and where items were. She also knew when they didn't stock a certain item. Very on the ball. The person who was the cashier I think was the manager was also very Friendly and helpful. Great store.
I always have Charlotte do my eyebrows and I love it every time.
When in on Easter Sunday around 2-2:30 with my cousin. My cousin was searching for an eyelash serum but couldn’t find where it was located so she went up to a group of 4 employees and asked where the serum was located. She said that they all turned to look at her at the same time, turned back around and ignored her. She was only able to catch one of their names and it was Simranpre, according to our receipt. She said that only one of the employees helped her out but we weren’t able to catch her name. We both love ulta but it is so disappointing when we’re met with such poor customer service. Please do better.
The five stars goes to hair stylist Jessica she is really good I wouldn't let anybody else do my hair she is the best thing about this place
