We’ve worked with Mark twice and he is a “King” work with. Truly treated us like royalty answering all our questions with no sales pressure. Definitely will return.
The legs and power supply for the adjustable base were missing during delivery. Called the store and Mark delivered a regular foundation to my moms home, til they can redeliver a complete adjustable base. Out standing customer service.
It feels like a bargain furniture outlet, because that's what it is. The selection is nice, but I don't expect our new couch to last more than about 5 years. I know a lot of this is out of their control, but we we waited 6 months before our couch came in. We ordered in November, were told it would be in by January. It didn't. Then we were told March. Still didn't come in. And then about the middle of April we finally got it. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal if they had offered us some sort of credit or discount or something like that. But I think since they knew they had my money that they didn't need to worry about it. Just felt a little taken advantage of.
I don't know I've never been there but I've heard that's a very good place to shop for furniture
Always a good place to find good deals on furniture, but be wary about the delivery. Have had two attempted deliveries on the couch we ordered over a month ago. Both times, the couch was damaged. We did receive the recliner on the first delivery. Reaching anyone regarding this is next to impossible. I have sat on hold for over an hour and left 5 messages with the number given by the delivery driver. Calling the store isn't doing much better. Very disappointed at this point. The "owner" replied to this post 5 months after the fact. When I responded to the email listed, the person on the other end had no idea of the situation, kept asking me to send a picture. The main problem with this company is simply COMMUNICATION! Let me know when there is a going to be a delay, keep me informed if there is a problem and don't try to fix the problem months after the fact.
My salesperson in the Watertown SD office was Mark. Wonderful experience, beyond friendly and personable, I felt like I was dealing with someone who genuinely cared that I was getting pieces that I could both afford and love. He helped me pick out a dining set and a dresser for my home that are wonderful. I've seen some bad reviews about shipping and delivery, but honestly, I had no problems at all. When my furniture delivery had to be postponed because of weather, they were understanding and showed up at the rescheduled time, right on time, assembled my furniture and showed me how to expand and collapse my dining table, and the gentlemen who delivered were very polite, respectful, and efficient. My next furniture purchase will DEFINITELY be thru Unclaimed in Watertown.
Highly recommend Unclaimed Freight Store located 17 W Kemp, Watertown, SD. Outstanding customer service, friendly atmosphere, tons of inventory to choose from, competitive and comparable prices that fit everyone's budget. I worked with both Steve and Mark purchasing beds to furnishing my new home and each visit was a breeze. Unclaimed Freight's delivery service superseded my expectations. Not only did they deliver my furniture, the delivery guys hauled in, unwrapped, moved about the beds and furniture to their final resting places to my satisfaction, without damaging the furniture or walls. Thank you Steve and Mark with Unclaimed Freight for the outstanding service and helping me beautify the inside of my home too!!!
We've purchased many pieces from Unclaimed Freight in the last 6 months. No problem with ordering, but delivery & whoever pulls the merchandise all should be fired. We had missing parts to our bed frame so Steve, from Watertown store, brought out a bed frame for us to use. Our couch was damaged in delivery because the guy shoved a big couch, table, back of couch & 3 people in the elevator of our apartment building. They didn't send out side chair & table as scheduled because of the damaged couch being replaced & miscommunication on everything supposedly being sent on the same day. Then they send out the wrong color side chair another time. Steve tried to have them send out the right chair to the store and they couldn't even do that correct. They didn't send anything. Finally we were in Sioux Falls, and we had Steve get in touch with this incompetent group in the warehouse/delivery and we picked up the side chair ourselves. Steve was so apologetic throughout this because of the delays and problems. He also got me a gift card for Starbucks for my inconvenience which I thought this would be appropriate. We love doing business with Unclaimed Freight in Watertown because they are friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with, but someone needs to get the warehouse/delivery problems straightened out before people stop doing business with them. There are so many complaints about deliver through reviews and my personal conversations with people that the home office management need to get this situation straightened out. If it wasn't for our local Unclaimed Freight people we would go to some place else to purchase furniture, but for now we won't. Training for customer service would be a nice start for them I feel. The warehouse/delivery people need to remember it is our purchases that pay their wages and word of mouth is the number one way to help or hinder a company.
We are your typical furniture customer, searching for the best selections and best pricing in the Area. We met Jim at Unclaimed Freight and Furniture and he has become more than a sales associate, but an advisor and a friend. An advisor in home furnishings without the undue pressures. Jim is very courteous, incredibly knowledgeable, authentically genuine, and always friendly. Jim is a straight shooter and will be explicitly honest with you; not a typical sales-dog trying to push inventory. Jim has become a friend in the business. I go to him when we are looking for any furniture matters, from our living room seating, to a theatre seating arrangement to bedroom furniture mattresses to night stands to dressers and chests, for our kitchen or formal dining room sets. Jim knows the products he sells. This matters more to us than having a larger selection. And Unclaimed Freight and Furniture has always treated us very well and even coached us on getting the best pricing. Lastly, Jim treats you with respect and compassion. He listens with the intent to understand, not to respond or just sell something. Jim provides insights and enlightens us with unforeseen obstacles, hurdles or pitfalls. Jim sees the bigger picture, getting you in on products that will allow you to build on your purchases, so that you can purchase items as you can afford them. Jim builds relationships and earns your trust. That's what we love about Jim and Unclaimed Freight and Furniture. Thank you Jim for all your help, foresights, and patience.. Looking forward to our next conversation and probable purchase.
I went to unclaimed because we bought a couch through the store in Fargo last spring and liked dealing with them. Now we are in Watertown and so when we wanted new bedroom furniture we went to their store here. It has been an absolute nightmare. Megan sent all of our furniture to the wrong state so the initial delivery was about four weeks later than it should have been, it took two and a half months to get the bed. When they brought the bed it was defective, five different times I have been told either by the manager or by Megan that the manager will call me and he hasn’t. On top of it they offered us $35 for all of the screw ups and we spent over $2,200. Even the delivery drivers have told us that they don’t have these problems with the other stores, just this one. Today they said that the salespeople at the Watertown store don’t know what they are doing and order a lot of furniture wrong. It’s pathetic, I’m most likely going to send it all back since I’ve been waiting for 9 days for the manager to call me to get this straightened out and the dimwit can’t even do that.
