Picked this up at a grocery store in North Carolina. Five minutes in the microwave and we had dinner. Wasn't the greatest brat I've ever had but definitely not the worst. I thought the sauerkraut was very tasty. I bet it would be even better doing it in the skillet.
1st of all I noticed a rancid smell while cooking the sausage. It was fresh from the Store. But the awful smell stuck up the whole house. After I cooked it I could not put a fork through it it was too hard and rubbery. Combining that with the terrible smell I simply threw it away and will never purchase it again
Worst Hot sausage I ever tasted! A can of Chili beans had more taste and bite. No shock that that Uncle Charley's is selling out! Good bye. Local supermarket HOT! sausage is orders of magnitude better.
This review is for Uncle Charley's regular breakfast sausage patties. I tried them twice and both times results were the same. Seasoning is OK, though slightly under seasoned. Biggest drawback was the texture. Too coarsely ground, and is tough and chewy. Almost rubbery when cutting. Not tender at all.
Hi I think the sausage is one of the best ever. Now, people from different places like different tastes and texture. That does not mean that you should give such a horrible review. Hi Charley I like the sausage in a sandwich with velveeta cheese and yellow mustard.. A sandwich from the old days with Mrs. Fanning's Bread and Butter Pickles. I suspect all the negative reviews can be divided into 3 categories: Disgruntled former employees, people who don't know how to cook sausage it's not as easy as you might think and people who bought spoiled sausage on sale at Giant Eagle. What are you people eating in your spagoots? Bob Evans? No thanks.
Their sausage is full of gristle. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
This sausage is so bad it's horrible. Tough and lousy to chew. I can't understand how it can be this bad. I can't even eat one slice.
I liked the price. However this is disgustingly awful. It has thee worst after taste. I'm not a picky person and I hate to waste food, but it's going in the garbage. This is the second time I've tried it. The first time I thought it was freezer burn. The second time I cooked it the next day after purchase. Fail. Please update your recipe.
Totally tasteless sausage. I decided to try it after years of making hot sausage with other brands that turned out great. I am wondering, other than cardboard, what other ingredients are in it? NEVER again!
