Nice, well stocked store. Good bakery and excellent deli. Their prepared foods are delicious and their meat and fish selection are great and offer a wide variety. They used to be the place to go for fruits and vegetables but Meat Farms blows them away now. VERY expensive and the employees are not all that personable or friendly, especially the cashiers.
Uncle Giuseppe’s Market is my favorite grocery store. Everything is so fresh from the produce section to the cheese section where you can watch fresh mozzarella being made! to their amazing bakery. The freshly made take and go section is plentiful and everything I’ve gotten there is delicious. From the cashiers, clerks, store managers, you’re always greeted with a smile and an offer of assistance. Uncle G’s touches my Italian roots on so my levels with their multitude of Italian groceries and delicacies. Of course, it is pricey but the old saying is “you get what you pay for”!
Wow! Impressive displays of prepared foods, produce, and other stocked items! I had trouble not taking pictures of this amazing grocery store! The food looked like there would be feasts for a kingdom!!
Great place. Great fresh food. Walked in to live Italian Great music. From the one and only Joey Nickels. If you are in the Smithtown area I highly suggest doing your shopping here.
I truly love this market. Once your in you want to buy the whole market. Fresh foods. Prepared dishes. Everything you need to make your favorite dishes. They also have a coffee area and the pastries are to die for.
Don't go here often, was looking foward to a nice sandwich. The lady cut the cold cuts and cheese stacked them on top of eachother and was walking around for 3 minutes with them in her one hand trying to find Mayo, all the way by the salad section. Opening cabinets etc with my cold cuts in her other hand. Finally I walk over there wondering what is going on, I said forget the Mayo, just wanted her to stop walking around with my cold cuts all over the place. She proceeded to put the stacked meat and cheese on the roll not even trying have it cover the whole roll and cut it not in half as she was doing so I could tell the roll was stale so I said soemthing and she said it was fine. Pieces of the roll were breaking off in chunks, it was stale. So after she gave it to me I check and sure enough the roll was stale. I was rushing to work. When I opened the sandwich to fix the meat and cheese, the cheese wasn't fresh parts where white like from moisture build up. Ugh disgusting. What a horrible sandwich I threw it out and won't be back.
Unfortunately I have to report that the chicken codon blu appetizer balls were missing a key ingredient - the chicken! There was white sauce and small pieces of ham chopped up and stuffed inside a fried ball. I was very disappointed in them and all that ate them at the party agreed. You do pay a premium for specialty foods, but usually it’s worth it.
Variety is amazing. All the specialties of Queens , Arthur Ave and Sicaly! A little pricy. But cheaper then going to Queens. Try the Prima Donna cheese with fig spread. And you definitely have to get some of their olives and mozzarella balls. All of their breads are amazing and delivered fresh every day.
The best of the Italian markets! Expensive,it can be. But it's worth it. I got a 12 pack of Snapple for $6.99!!
Great place to shop for groceries. Excellent meat, produce and deli section. And the live singer entertaining shoppers on Sundays is sometimes very unique and special.
