UTH Cafe was a soldier outreach program based just outside of the largest military installation in the United States, Fort Hood, in Killeen Texas.
Under the Hood is a place where soldiers, families, friends and community members can socialize, get information on service members’ and veterans rights, get referrals for legal and wellness services and participate in creative workshops.
Under the Hood offers:
GI Rights Counseling: We can provide confidential counseling to soldiers dealing with issues related to their command including discharges, Article 15, and other disciplinary infractions. The first step to exercising your rights is knowing them.
Community: Peer support and a space to talk freely about issues within the military.
Referrals: We also offer referrals to legal and behavioral health counselors.

To Promote:
the free and uncensored exchange of ideas and information among active duty and reserve military personnel and civilians.
To Provide:
accurate information, referrals, and counseling regarding the rights and duties of America's service members under U.S. and international law.
To Entertain:
servicemembers, civilians, and their families with performances of music, dance, comedy, rap, poetry, and authors' readings reflecting a wide variety of viewpoints.
