At Unique Hands Massage I believe that every single aspect of a person is important and should be in optimal health. My mission is to promote health, wellness and self-worth through professional and affordable massage according to their individual specific needs. I customize each session to meet the needs of my clients by integrating various modalities of massage. I am committed to my personal growth and continuing education as a massage therapist and to working together with my clients to help them become familiar with the different advantages of massage.
At Unique Hands my business is steered by therapeutic appropriate practice. I hold the vision that each client we care for is unique to themselves. I recognize that they are individuals and all heal at different rates physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and intellectually.
I believe that touch is an important part of healing. I see that adults and children need the help to facilitate their body’s natural healing powers through touch and massage. I also believe that I should support the healing of the whole client not just a single area.
When I founded Unique Hands Massage it was off my love for massage and helping people. I have worked with children for many years and I also have another degree in Early Childhood Development. The love I have for massage has allowed me to be able to combine both of my enduring passions together. Using massage with children allows for maximum health through natural approaches they might not get otherwise. I believe that all families should be involved in the process as much as possible. I have an open door policy for the families of the children in my care and feel that this policy is very important to the children and their family members. The families are the ones who will continue to support and grow with the children after they leave Unique Hands. I believe that the parents should feel welcome in my therapy room and will strive to make sure they do.
As we know family is one of the most important parts of a person’s life so the men and women are also welcome in the therapy rooms for our pre-natal, post-natal, and fertility massages if the client feels they need the emotional support. Unique Hands will also specialize in massage for women due to the personal struggles that my husband and I have been through. I realize that it is not an easy struggle to go through and that sometimes it’s better to have a loving supporter by your side.
