Glass in it’s fluid environment is amazing and fascinating. Each piece is hand cut by me and carefully placed with an eye for detail.
Glass in it’s fluid environment is amazing and fascinating. Each piece is hand cut by me and carefully placed with an eye for detail. What comes out of the kiln sometimes surprises me with it’s amazing transformation. Glass making has become a passion and a never ending learning experience as just when I thought I knew what was going to happen – something totally different comes out, even more beautiful than I’d planned!
In my glass art I fuse multiple layers of sheet glass using both full and tack fusing techniques. In the molding techniques I incorporate slumping, draping and glass casting. Every detail is attended to with great care. Some pieces include liquid glass features. Each component is carefully cleaned prior to placement in the kiln to ensure devitrification doesn’t occur to ruin the piece. Glass making has become a passion and an inspiration.
