I’ve used many co-work spaces around the world and this really is up there as one of my favourites. Great atmosphere, cool decor, comfortable chairs, large desks and excellent amenities. I would recommend to any entrepreneurs or freelancers in the area that want a productive place to work from, surrounded by good people.
Just needed a space for an afternoon meeting and they couldn’t have been a better venue. Staff was helpful and polite and the conference room was both comfortable and well equipped. They will be my first call next time I need a place to take a client that makes a good impression and let’s us get our work done.
My friend and I are on a mission to try out all the cool co-work spots, cafés in the south bay - one place a week. Happy to report UNITA was a hit! Called in before going to see what the co-work situation was like, I believe I spoke with the owner who invited us over, and gave us a complimentary visit to use their space for the day, since it was a holiday and not super busy. The studio itself is very artsy, and just a block from hermosa beach. There are some conference rooms, some private working spaces and some open working spaces. It was fairly quiet. They also have a coffee/tea machine and some complimentary snacks if you have a membership with them. The service was great, as every interaction we had with the owner/manager was superb. He even came in to check in with us to see how our visit was going and introduced us to all their various locations and their vibes. The parking can be tough since it’s so close to the beach, you have to be lucky to find a spot, which fortunately, I was! Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a workday, or a monthly subscription. Especially if you’re a creative. The vibes here are immaculate and will bring out the best of your imagination!
Amazing coworking space right near the water in Hermosa beach. The design is beautiful- probably the nicest of any I’ve ever been to. Perfect balance of being quiet enough for getting serious work done, while also being easy to socialize if you chose. Tom is an excellent community manager and makes sure everyone is taken care of. Couldn’t speak more highly of the place!
This space is beautiful and so welcoming. Everything you need to comfortably work, like strong wifi, lots of tables, a conference room, easy parking and fun perks like snacks, coffee, and happy hours. Super friendly and chill crowd. Would definitely recommend!
Beautifully designed space in the heart of Hermosa Beach. Everything you need for a comfortable workspace, friendly crowd, and steps from the beach if you need a little break. Highly recommended!
Beautiful space located just steps from the beach. Great vibe inside and homey feel with loads of plants, surfboards and natural light. One of the cutest coworkings I’ve ever been to for sure!
I wish I discovered Unita earlier! I usually have early beach volleyball practice and then need to jump straight into a full day of meetings. This space is literally 2 minutes walk from the beach! The interior is cozy and comfortable, and Tom the manager was super friendly and welcoming as well.
Beautiful, chill space to work that is right by the beach and everything great in Hermosa Beach. Tom manages the place so well, and is a welcoming host to the neighborhood and Unità. Highly recommend it!
My cofounder and I worked at Unita for one week - I was coming to LA from SF and she was coming from Tel Aviv, and we needed a creative, bright and welcoming space to hunker down in. The community manager, Tom, was a ray of light from the get-go! He was quick to communicate and very accommodating. We were going to checkout some other coworking places but his warmth led us to cancel those tours. The building was super cool and industrial chic. The location in Hermosa was perfect for us as we were coming walking from Redondo. It was across the street from the beach and many shops and cafes. The other folks in this space also seem to be local community members who knew one another and enjoyed working in the same space together. This location was very quiet and chill, so if you are looking for a more lively location, apparently the Manhattan Beach Unita is the location for that according to Tom. The other businesses at this Unita seemed very keen to helping one another out. We wish we had more time to network, but our schedule ended up being packed with meetings and time-sensitive projects, but those we were able to chat with were very friendly and kind. The snack/tea/coffee situation was perfect nuts, granola bars, pop chips and there was creamer and oat milk available in the fridge. We brought our lunch most days and had no problem using the microwave to reheat it. There is only one dedicated meeting room at this location, and it has no sound-proofing. That is my only comment! I wish there were more soundproof booths or soundproof meeting rooms. Some days, people were scattered all around inside and outside trying to comfortably take professional meetings while not bothering anyone quietly working around them. It wasn't uncommon for us to take a meeting with one or two people also taking meetings directly around us. I'd def become a full time member here if I lived in LA- the community seemed dope and helpful and the emphasis on art and creative expression is a big win for me.
