United Christian Volunteers is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the residents of Erlanger and Elsmere, Kentucky during times of need.

United Christian Volunteers is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the residents of Erlanger and Elsmere, Kentucky during times of need.

Assistance is most frequently provided in the form of grocery items. However, special care is also provided to clients that have experienced fire loss, eviction, extreme health issues, job loss, etc. These cases are evaluated on a case by case basis.

Our program is 25% funded by private donations and 75% funded by sales of donated items through our thrift store or other self-generated sales (fundraisers, yard sales, etc). We do not receive government support. Your support is undeniably the heart and soul of our program.

Mean. Would not help. Drove to pick up a Couch from Lexington said we would be there Monday morning and the supervisor would not help. He is an angry man. Wasted gas and time. Terrible place not Christian at all.
I love this store. Everything there is so cheap accept for the basement sales but other than that the miniature items there are so cute and only 50¢. Over all such a nice thrift store. Also I volunteer there every week sad it's coming to a end because school is starting. Can't wait to do it again next summer .
This place is awesome! The people who work and volunteer there are kind, compassionate and determined to help. Helping folks is their mission and they are happy to help.
Ladies in the thrift store are really nice sadly I’m just helping two older gentleman with rides and I’m the one that has to deal with a lady that works there as part of the food bank and I swear she has a attitude all to hell. I am definitely never going to come back I don’t respect people who treat others like total trash
Great thrift store. Often has food donated by groceries or restaurants.
Some of the most wonderful people to deal with. They are a group of compassionate, considerate, helpful, and a hard working group of volunteer care givers that I have ever met. I've never heard of any of them being out of line with their customers.
Excellent place to shop. Also, they help people in need with necessities. What a true Blessing to have in the community. Nice furniture, dishes, and other items to refurbish your closet or home.
They have EVERYTHING at great prices. New and used items. There's so much to look at I feel like I am missing something so I have to go back. All volunteers so every dime goes right back into stocking the food pantry.
Hours could be better but it's probably staffed by volunteers so that's understandable. Some prices were good, others a too high. Items are in a garage so it's a little tight & dirty. Overall enjoyed looking for bargains and will go back when I'm in the neighborhood.
I love their thrift store. They have good prices and are always getting new things. They have things for sale in the garage, basement, and upstairs. Unfortunately most of it wouldn't be wheelchair accessible and there's limited parking, but you can usually find street parking nearby. I don't know a lot about their charity work except that they provide for local families in need. The volunteers are very friendly and happy to share information about their services. They're open 9am-noon M, T, W, F, and 7am-noon Thursday. They generally aren't open on weekends but sometimes open for special sales on Saturdays.
