Castle Rock is small, so having a PO box is the way to go, but getting your mail without having to complain every day would be nice. I have to go in with my phone and have them physically check the back where my packages are. It says delivered but it's never in my box, or even the lock box. Multiple packages have been delivered to the wrong po box, or never even delivered at all.
Apparently, their drivers are terrified of a 2 pound puppy. They refuse to deliver packages because it is so vicious. But if it's not a vicious puppy, it's something else.
My package was delivered to the wrong address, and whoever received it decided to keep it. Now the post office can't seem to tell me what house they took it to, and are refusing to reimburse me for my lost item. This was a limited run item that is now completely sold out, I doubt I'll ever be able to get it again. I frequently rely on online orders for things I can't get in our tiny town, I shouldn't have to be scared to order nice or expensive things because I can't trust our post office to get them to the right place.
FedEx, UPS, Amazon all deliver to our house with absolutely no issues but for some reason USPS will NEVER deliver our Amazon packages to our house. Instead they leave a slip in the mailbox stating we are 1/2 mile away and make us drive down to the post office to pick up our packages. We are NOT a half a mile away, we have a huge turnaround driveway, and what sense does that make to not deliver it and make someone drive 20 minutes downtown to wait in a busy office to pick up a package? Absolute laziness. I have attempted to talk with them about this and all I get are excuses after excuses.
They will drive right past your house while you are sitting on the porch, and 10 seconds later, you will get a notification that "the driveway was inaccessible." They have the laziest drivers EVER.
Thank you for delivering my package on my fence post in the pouring rain all night. What kind of person does that. It was in a cardboard box and it was Christmas gift. If this was you . you should be fired. It's apparent that castlerock wa should rethink how the carriers do their jobs.
I go to this PO at least once a week if not more and have had great experience every time. The staff are friendly. quick and efficient.
I understand theres reasons that could effect deliveries. But deliveries to the wrong address too many times and delivered in mailbox but not in the mailbox is getting old now. The CR USPS is frustrating and unacceptable. I've watched carriers throw my package onto the front porch with fragile contents. I thought carriers had to pass a test to qualify as a carrier. how's this gonna get fixed?
It was somewhat clean in the lobby where customers check their boxes.except for the table to open your mail where other customers left their junk mail. Other wise clean .
Just received a card Feb 25 which was mailed 2 weeks ago Feb 10 from a town 5hrs away. Typically receive these in 2-3 days, which is acceptable accounting for processing and travel. The envelope is completely shredded. The card has severe water damage, is warped and faded, and the whole thing looks like it was run over. Packages being delivered days late and slowly getting worse. Messages saying “couldn’t be delivered, door obstructed” while my porch camera watches the USPS vehicle drive a circle on my street without stopping with 1 car in a clean driveway.... Had to get my box re-keyed twice on move in because they accidentally changed the lock of my box instead of another. I’ve even had a bill come late, luckily i was given a one-time grace for late payment. The people are very pleasant to talk to when they drop off a package or when I go in, always friendly and patient and that’s why they get 2*. The reliability and quality is horrendous, though. I don’t know if they’re understaffed, undertrained, or just have a couple people that don’t care like the others do, but something needs to change to increase quality of service. Right now if I had any other options to receive mail I would take it, but there isn’t.
