I went to the post office around 5:30pm today, a Monday, but it was already closed, even though the closing time on its website and door saying 6:30pm. There is no notice or any warnings. Very strange and disappointing.
I got to the post office at 2:59 on a Saturday after sprinting to get a packaged shipped after a busy day. I was in a hurry to get it done since they are closed on Sunday. When I got there I went to open the door which was not locked, but a lady was holding it closed. She said “ope were closed” and I told her that it was 2:59. She checked her watch and said it was 3:00. I didn’t have my phone on me, but when I left the car it was 2:58. She was so rude and I asked her if she could she let me in and she refused. She could tell I was in distress, but continued to be rude and unhelpful. Get better, more helpful staff.
This review is on this Brookfield location and not USPS in general. This location is really good. The staff is friendly and helpful. I worked with Steve today in which he clearly explained my options, was patient, and was pleasant to do business with. When my wife comes in with our daughter they are always friendly to her which helps the process. Highly recommend this location for your USPS needs.
If there was a negative star option, I would have given them that. My 12 year old was shipping a charity box and the shipping label was not sticking properly on the box. They sent her back saying that they will not use their tape to seal it because it’s not free and she needs to do it herself. The guy on the counter wasn’t helpful when I went in and said the same to me even after I told him that I don’t have any tape with me and I didn’t bring any wallet with me to buy a new tape. Poor customer service and shameless staff. Just because the box already had a label and ur not making any money out of us doesn’t mean that you will treat those customers bad. Will never go again. Always a disappointment!!! Pathetic service and staff!
Not a good experience today. I received conflicting information regarding sending large packages. I was told I must send them priority mail, or risk that my property will be handled with disregard. And even if I do, there's no guarantee. I realize that they can't control what happens once it leaves their facility, but the counter associate did not have a positive manner. It is certainly true that especially large boxes are not handled carefully, as I received one last month with a giant hole in it, and contents missing. It was packed very well. I shipped it regular mail ground, so was not able to file a claim for missing items. I work in customer service too, I understand how important it is to help people with courtesy. I don't feel that this happens here.
When there is new information that is updated the post office workers Should really let people know so they don’t get robbed of money. The post office worker, Angie, didn’t bother to let me know that when I mailed my package to someone that was express mail, Overnight now won’t be delivered until 6 PM and my friend won’t be able to get the package now. So thank you for robbing me of my money. This place sucks, go somewhere else!
Worst post office employees i ever dealt with, the guy named Steve doesn't know what he's doing and he's so rude, I've been sending big boxes overseas from other USPS offices and now he's telling me the box is too big to ship even after he made me change the box to a smaller one and still he's saying its to big even though I sent bigger boxes before with USPS. Plus I just saw him taking $10 from the customer was in front of me and put it in his pocket. Unprofessional. Update, I went to a different post office with the same box and they shipped it with no issues.
Disheartening to review a few of the poor evaluations submitted by others. I have been a resident of this community since 2013 and have never once had a unpleasant visit at this post. Each postal official I, or my family, have interacted with have always delivered courteous and professional customer service. The staff is friendly and the facility is clean and well managed. My family extends our genuine gratitude to all workers at this location for their service and dedication to our local community. Thank You.
This post office is seriously overcharging customers for flat rate USPS priority mail. Instead of charging people the correct amount which is $18.30, they are charging for the weight. My sister was charged $41.70 to ship a $18.30 package. The employees here are obviously unaware what their priority mail boxes look like and don’t care that the box clearly states “ flat rate any weight “ right on the box. Horrible customer customer here and absolutely zero accountability.
Such a worst customer service. Whenever we call them anyone who picks up the call, they just talk wat they need to and finish. They r not ready even to hear us, we went on vacation and it was emergency so could not fill up a vacation notice to USPS. That's it all my packages are held at the office and my recent order with Amazon was mentioned that the USPS attempted and they left a door tag. But nothing like that happened, and I called the lady whom I spoke with was seriously so rude to me. Really very worst service at USPS civic drive location. They can be little soft and gentle, we just want to make sure all packages are safe with them.
