In person, the staff is very nice. But when putting “mail on hold”. ALWAYS an issue. Every. Single. Time. Extremely frustrating. The communication needs work..
Horrible service in general closed on mondays and ridiculously annoying front desk making a scene when simply asking where I should go for shipping bc so many desks gives an attitude ridiculous in general go to one close by definitely not worth the drive so disappointed
The staff was incredably helpful and professional in processing our children's passports. They clearly value their customers and strive to provide good service.
The worst location to go to ... all of them they treat the customers with big attitude .. they don't like you to ask questions they expecting to know everything about mailing .. and the worst part if you going to this location for passport you will get the biggest attitude ever .. even though they get charge you 35$ to get it done but they act like they doing you a favor. I would rather drive extra miles to briarcliff or croton than come back here . It was one exception Adam but I don't see him there anymore.
Apparently putting a stamp on an envelop was to much work for Camita, the woman who i saw at the front desk. I asked for a stamp and told her that i wanted to mail out a letter, i handed her the letter and then puts the letter on the counter and the stamp on the side smh.. she was so arrogant. No wonder this post office has so many bad reviews. Hire staff that wants to help and do their job .
I'm using this post office about two to three times a month. I find the staff helpful, and willing to answer questions including helping make smart decisions about pricing your mail so you don't overspend unintentionally. Come up to the counter kind and you'll have no issues with the front desk team. The postmaster has always been able to work with me on delivery issues and was a carrier themselves before taking the role. Set an appointment and meet the postmaster if you have issues with home delivery. I spoke with them on the phone due to covid and problem was solved on one call with a friendly demeanor, including instructions for me on how to prevent the issue moving forward. Thanks USPS, despite getting your budget gutted, never stopping the handling our mail during the pandemic and cranky customers you're still keeping our mail flowing.
Very bad experience at this place. Since I needed to fill in a form, I needed a pen. None of the pens for customers was functional so I decided to ask the clerk for one. She sent me back to look for a pen on the customer's counters, I told her that any was working. She sent me to ring the management's office to tell him about the pens seriously?I literally had to beg for a pen to others customers. When my turn came, I handed her over my box and form, I missed signing the form, there she handed me over her pen to finish the form. By the way, the clerk next to her looked more helpful and friendly than her.
Leaving this review just because I feel like Adam deserves it. I walked in expecting rude staff because of previous reviews but Adam marks the difference. I needed help renewing my passport and this guy explained everything and was very nice about it. Adam, keep up the good work!!
I love this place. The staff is great and attentive There was a time when I questioned the hiring process. Letter carriers were leaving mail on floor misplacing in wrong mail boxes or address, etc.... But enough people complained. It is definitely has improved for the better. A year has passed and all is good! One of my favorite post office’s.
I went there after work because of their late hours - that was my first mistake. After walking in the doors, I was taken aback at how the line stretched across the whole post office, back to the entrance - a good 25-30 feet. But, I needed to mail some items that were purchased from me, so I got on line anyway - mistake #2. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to get to the front of the line, even during the holidays! The clerk was oblivious to everyone's frustration and continued making idle chit chat as his slowly went about his business. I vowed I would rather go to any other post office except this one. Today, I found out that one of the packages I sent through there was opened and the merchandise was stolen out of it. So, to add insult to injury, I can't even do anything about it because I sent it first class to save some money since I offered free shipping instead of spending $7 on priority mail. I tried to call the customer service line for the post office, but it tells me the hold time is approximately 20-30 minutes to speak with a representative. I find this a disgrace to have such a vital service that everyone MUST use, and you can't even speak with a live person. The moral of this review is: ship priority and avoid the Ossining post office if you can help it.
