This is, quite simply, the best USPS location ever. In this era, so many USPS locations, particularly in denser parts of major cities, range from incompetent to straight up illegal levels of service. My home locations in Ravenswood and Audobon Manhattan were both this way. The two main front desk guys here, however, have worked there forever and are both pleasant, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Even the 3-4 other people who sometimes man the front are excellent. have never had a bad experience with the Itasca Post Office. These guys should get raises :
Do not go anywhere else to get your passport. My experience with Tim was outstanding from start to finish. This was me and my boyfriends first time every applying for our passports and Tim was so helpful & compassionate throughout the whole experience. Explained everything with detail and made sure we understood the process. I would be willing to drive hours just because of the service that was provided. Mark was very nice as well. Thank you guys! I will be recommending all my friends and family to use this location for any of their USPS needs.

I think this is the only USPS in the country that has courteous and respectful people. Right from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, you feel you're in the right place.

Convenient location. My experience today was kinda negative because I had a package sent and the post office agent gave me my receipt. I was anticipating that he would let me know about the tracking info and website as they normally do and as he did with the customers before me. Well, he didn't. I went to the table to place stamps on my letters and I listened to him indicate the tracking info and website to the customers after me. So now I'm thinking what was it about me that he didn't feel the need to tell me. Now I'm African American the other customers were all Caucasian. It made me feel that he was biased, prejudiced or mean.
Stay away. While the people working there are decent, the level of service USPS provides is unacceptable. I paid $70 for express international mail that was advertised and expected to deliver to Europe in 3-5 business days. It took over TWO WEEKS for the package to deliver. Messages to the postmaster were never answered. Don't waste your time and money. Use international courier instead.
