This place usually gets it done. I had waited to go in as there was a high volume of people when I first came. Upon entering no one was at the desk, rang the bell and heard be there in a minute. The gal was helpful friendly and efficient.
This is the best post office I have been to in the entire taste. Robert was incredibly helpful and knowledgable about passport procedures. The woman was efficient and great at handling outgoing mail. The building is very beautiful, it is an orderly place.
Package delivery is an ongoing problem. Things are stuffed in PO boxes so firmly I have to have them unstuff from behind the box. If you don't know how a vendor will ship, UPS, UPS Surepost, or USPS, even hybrid addressing residential plus PO box is unreliable. Packages are misdirected or sent back. Especially tough with medicines. Their guarantee that using 13 Plaza Loop plus PO box will always work has not panned out. My most recent package addressed as instructed was dropped by UPS at an "office" and signed for by "baca." ???? Claim opened, never found. Addendum: had a good conversation with the Postmaster today who was very responsive to my issue filed with USPS and is trying as hard as he can to make it work. I have been using this facility for 28 years and wonder if Edgewood's growth has been hard for them to keep up with.
I'm writing this review while my husband waits in line to pick up a package. After trying three times yesterday to get the package but finding the line too long, he showed up today 10 minutes before the PO opened this morning and was 17th in line. This post office is understaffed. Do anything you can to avoid having a package sent to this PO. I've never found the staff rude as others have. I think they're just stressed out and overwhelmed. Update: 64 minutes to hand out packages to 17 customers. Apparently, the staff have to move stacks of boxes for each one they hand over the counter. It looks like UPS drops off piles of boxes, and a few staff have to deal with it. Thanks a lot, Louis DeJoy!
I love the Edgewood post office. The line for packages was so long. Seems Amazon does not deliver all over our town so the post office does it all.thank you for your extra work over Christmas keeping that line moving. The post master is cheerful all the time and gets in the trenches to get the mail out. Thank you
Edgewood usps refuses to deliver packages. They drive within 10 feet of my door to deliver slip that says "attempted delivery" when did not. Every time I order a package that gets shipped by usps I have to go pick up, and that takes over an hour regardless of when u stop by as they do not deliver to anyone In the the area. Writing this after spending 30 minutes in the lobby and the line has moved up 3 people. Take longer for them to give packages in the lobby than it would for them tondeliver
The postal carrier in my part of Edgewood New Mexico is horrible. They lie and say they tried to deliver packages and never do even attempt it. Half the time she carries the package around in her car. She has left mail in mail totes just in front of the mailboxes and left. I ordered something that was supposed to be here today that for some reason the seller decided to ship USPS which is the worst carrier. I have been working all morning and just saw that my package that I needed today isn't going to be here because she decided not to deliver it. And I won't be able to get it till Monday now.
Postal system is terrible out here. Packages arrive damaged and whenever they feel like delivering them. Boxes get jammed. People in office seem as if your inconveniencing them. If you have Amazon prime and it's too large for their box give it an extra day. They are too lazy to drive it an 1/8th of a mile down the road. If these People hate their job so much they need to quit and not take it out on us.
Highly recommend NOT to use Edgewood NM Post Office. Mailed bills from this post office three times, of coarse my bills where never received. I can understand if it was a one time thing, but three times!!!! Now I know why people pay their bills online!
Return my packages to sender. Says they are undeliverable. The Post Office has delivered numerous packages to me before with the exact same address in previous years. My address has not changed, but their ability to deliver has. This is the 3rd time they have done this. It does no good to call manager. My support for the Post Office has disappeared. I no longer care if they go out of business.
