Wow. I am insanely jealous of anyone who gets to have this as their home theater. Beautifully appointed and perfect picture and sound makes this the ultimate AMC movie going experience. It really looks quite different inside and the costumes and props scattered throughout help you realize that you are seeing a film in the moviemaking capital of the world. Prices are very high but that is to be expected. They also had a pretty understaffed concession area and the signage inside to find restrooms was severely lacking. Those are nitpicking items however because you are going here to see movies, and the moviegoing experience is perfect.
I am an AMC Stubs A list member and it's the best movie club membership. I can see up to 3 movies a week for about $26/ month. Well worth the membership if you see two movies a month which I do! This theater has the recliners which is now the only way I see movies now . It only costs five bucks to park with a movie reservation so that's a plus! Great quality theaters.
I was tempted to come here by reviewers that mentioned that this is a beautiful, clean movie theater in a fun location. And you know what, I’ve never been to this location, so I thought why not? It turned out that this cinema is exactly what they say it is, I suppose, but coming here was not worth the money and the drive for me personally. You can’t really comfortably walk there, you’re gonna have to drive or take the bus, unless you’re staying in a hotel in the area, or if you’re really really determined because it’s not pedestrian-friendly. The auditoriums at the cinema are small, but feel spacious because of limited seating, and they are very clean. I imagine they don’t get a lot of traffic, so it’s not that difficult to upkeep and it shows. There is a small bar upstairs with plenty of seating, and a concessions area downstairs, which had the least sensible layout I’ve ever seen. They were out of a lot of foods like nuggets ??? idk if this is sold in other cinemas, I honestly never noticed this before, but this location does it apparently and popcorn flavors, but a lot of packaged candy and snacks were still in stock. A medium drink was almost $7. They also didn’t accept Apple Pay or any other wireless options, and they didn’t have any signage to indicate this. So I’ve waited almost 10 minutes in the line for the popcorn and 15 minutes in the line for the registry yes, they are separate for whatever reason to be told that no, they will accept cash or card only. Sorry not sorry. Next person in line! The escalators weren’t working and there was a line to the elevators for the second floor auditoriums right next to the gigantic staircase, which I thought was hilarious. Parking is a pain at $30, $5 with validation from the cinema, and you can either buy your movie tickets online in advance and get a coupon to scan at the parking meter, or pay 30 upfront and get a refund at the cinema, basically. Still a pain. I was thinking I’ll get a fun experience in a nice fancy-ish cinema, and it was not that for me. I definitely will not be returning just for the cinema specifically. Maybe if I’m at Universal studios and have money to spend and time to kill - but if I’m being honest, still very unlikely.
Beautiful movie theater. Nice and spacious with plenty of seating to wait for a movie to begin. Cool movie memorabilia. Popcorn was fresh, everything was well cleaned. Only complaint would be the chairs in my specific auditorium 2 had very noisy chairs when being moved. A little WD-40 should fix that.
Probably the most expensive movie ticket in the area at around $18. It's a nice looking theater inside and out, but nothing really makes it stand out. It's average or slightly above, but nothing that warrants the price. In addition, the person selling tickets was rude when asked if they offered discounts to universal studios employees. "We don't do any discounts here!" He snapped at me. This dispite the fact they do offer discount tickets if purchased at team member services. The man selling popcorn wasn't much nicer. Overall I'll return because of its location and convenience but I dread having to interact with that staff. Be pleasant to your customers or find a new line of work.
There were less crowds than the last time I visited, and few stores closed— A nice place to stay for a couple of hours, restaurants and shops around and the cinema has the giant screen I have ever seen in the country.
Enrique at the box office was so sweet!!! He made our experience a 10/10 with his nice customer service and funny humor! A great dude and he deserves a raise!!!!>: we also saw the menu and it was a great movie with great seats. I will be back!
The cinema is very big, it has two floors. The seats are comfortable too. The price is a bit expensive. But it's worth it, the movies are watched with great quality and here outside of Universal Studios it's better.
We had a family date night at CityWalk. Although it w a s freezing outside , it was nice and warm inside the theater. We saw mummies and loved it. What a beautiful theater. I'll take pic next time. Who knew you all had a parents only bar upstairs..coming back with just the hubby for date night part 2. Loved it
It was nice to be back in the theater watching movies again. Clean theaters, comfortable reclining seats and good bundle deals and rewards program. I was very pleased with how they remodeled and upgraded the theaters, spacings and seats. I'm a big man and it offers me plenty of elbow room. Fyi, I'm not a fan of the seats in IMAX theater.
