The school currently has five departments offering a master of public health program as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees. UB SPHHP is a member of the Association of Schools of Public Health (ASPH).

The mission of the School is to improve the health of populations, communities and individuals through disciplinary and interdisciplinary education, research and service.
The school offers a wide range of degree programs, from the multidisciplinary master of public health; to professional degrees in occupational therapy, physical therapy, and nutrition; to research-oriented graduate degrees in epidemiology, biostatistics, community health and health behavior, nutrition, and exercise science, as well as medical residency programs in preventive medicine.
