The University City Memorial Day Run takes place each Memorial Day in University City, Missouri. Begun in 1974 by a few interested joggers, over the next Forty years it has grown into one of the most popular and largest family races in the St. Louis metropolitan area. There is a 10K, 5K and a Fun Run for kids and family. For the hardcore competitors, there is traditionally a very strong field of runners to test oneself against. The "weekend warriors" will also have a lot of company and for children, the fun run is just the thing.
