University Garden Apartments

If I could give negative stars, that’s what they’d get. We’ve lived here over a year and every minute has been hell. Management NEVER calls back even when you leave messages and email, there are so many bugs in the apartments, the contractors they hire only do half the job, the apartments smell because of neighbors neglecting their apartments. Just last week the cops had to come picture of the 7 cop cars that had to come! because a resident pulled a gun on someone, I do NOT feel safe here. Do yourself a favor and stay away!

Rude management, I applied for an apartment and I was approved and told I could go view everything the following day but literally 2 hours later I was called and told I was put on a waitlist instead. I was confused and just decided to tell them to take me off the waitlist and send the refund for holding the apartment since they gave it away…… I’ve been calling and emailing these people for almost 2 months about the refund, I haven’t received a call or email back. They are very unprofessional so don’t waste your time or money with these people.

Two bedroom apartments are great !! Amazing price , spacious and nice back deck. I would recommend spending the extra money for the 2 bedroom instead of the lexington building. Unfortunately, some tenants of the lexington building aren’t quiet or clean so that leads to some issues. But, I have had great experiences in middle court !

I'm giving it 2 stars because it shelters my family whom I visit ever so often so they're not on the street. The High rise building needs to be condemned. The roaches will carry you away if you're not watching. They could use an exterminator there at least twice a week to thoroughly go through every apt. The roaches are in the walls!! In terrible need of a remodel.

The property is very old but has a wonderful staff. They care about the residents and try their best to keep things up. Lesha the property manager is always answering emails and trying to get reasonable requests completed. Maintenance works very hard. Seems like there is always a leak somewhere. The girls in the office are wonderful. I actually miss seeing them due to Covid-19. Everything has changed so much. My neighbor complains about a light bulb not being changed out. I tried to tell her that the office is only doing emergency work orders due to Covid. I personally do not want anyone in my apartment unless they have to be right now. Anyway I just want the office and maintenance to know I appreciate them. Thank you

Had the pleasure of living here for a while and it was a great experience . I met a lot of great people and will remember this time fondly . Every-time I went into the office , they were always very helpful and answered any question I might of had . Elke was my favorite, she always has a smile on her face and went the extra mile . Thank you !

While they were up on maintenance, the guys were there quick to fix things, were friendly and easy to get along with. The place is crawling with bugs. Sure, they'll send someone to spray. But they only spray the rooms you see them in. That will not get rid of cockroaches! They need to be willing to bomb whole buildings or they'll never get rid of them. It's disgusting!

A lot of rif raf from other neighborhoods coming over blasting music til all hours of the night, swimming pool never opens on time always a different excuse every year, maintenance team is very good overall not a bad place to live

I lived at University Gardens from January-May 2018. It was a wonderful experience. Although the building was older, they were continually making repairs while I lived there. The management was extremely responsive and all repairs I made requests for were usually repair within hours. They were very friendly and made my experience and enjoyable one! I moved out due to graduating from college and leaving Athens.
